Second in the Championship. 14th best team in the whole country. Highest ranked team without at least a Championship men's club behind us and second highest without Premier League backing. It's an astonishing achievement.
So in the end Palace go up because we couldn't beat Millwall. How very Charlton.
We don't play Millwall and you know it. They play in a lower league.
London City Lionesses were formed as a new franchise and changed ownership mid season and brought in new players which improved their performances at the end of the season.
Thought it was really good game today. Both teams had spells on top, although admittedly Southampton's spell was longer. The second goal killed them off. Was particularly pleased for Mcgowan today. Always a trier, just needs to add consistency to her game. Also thought the young Bashford, ex academy, did well; her best game that I've seen. Defence pretty reliable as usual. Enjoyed the season, been much more entertaining than the men's team.

Increasingly unsurprising that when Kayleigh Green changed her name to Barton you thought she became a different person. Do you get confused when people put on hats?

No I don't and I'm a season ticket holder for the team. Kayleigh wished to be known as Barton. The loss at home was unfortunate.
Your post belittled what has been a great season. BTW they did beat London City Lionesses at Princes Park in October. Unbeaten away all season.
They will be lucky to sell any tickets next season if the reported comments at the poty turn out to be true. Massive own goal.
What comments?
Something along the lines of one of the academy or women’s team has to go as we cannot afford both? There was something about it on the PotY thread here.

A couple of the ladies team were overheard talking in the toilets saying they were on a table of forty something's who were boring. It's on the POTY thread.

The women's team aren't going anywhere. The pitch upgrade grant of £750,000 has a clause requiring the team to play at the Valley for 10 years. If this doesn't happen the grant hs to be repaid.
Financially modelled the women’s first team in WSL1, and WSL2 for the 24/25 season along with completing the tier 1 application.
I found this line interesting in her list of accomplishments.
Reads like beyond next season there is an application process for WSL1 which may be an expansion that's not directly based on results?
All championship teams for next season had to prove that they were ready for promotion to the WSL. This is the reason for moving all games to the Valley. (The Oakwood doesn't meet the standards.)
Only 4 remain, with another 9 offered contracts. 7 leaving and 3 returning to parent clubs after loans. Will be interesting to see if we "splash the cash" on the women's team and try to push for promotion having got so close this season.
Real shame about Rutherford. Addison is a big loss and I'm surprised Rogers has moved on. Most troubling though is that we have 4 players actually under contract. If we can keep Skeels, Roe, McGowan, McKenna, N'Dow, Ross and Humphrey as well and add in a goalscorer, a dominant centre mid and a bit more pace out wide it should be an interesting season

it would be odd to change it post-season, surely all teams have to know what they are playing for at the start of the season.
wonder if somethings happened in the last week or so

Very sorry to see that Ella Rutherford is leaving. She has been a real ambassador for the club amongst the young fans.
