I do feel sorry for Conte sometimes. What's he supposed to do if the midfielder they've bought him for £40m plays like a bloke Paddy Power have sponsored to get a half in as a joke. He wanted Florenzi or Cedric as another right wing back, so they got him Zappacosta, who I'm pretty sure is a re-purposed silent movie villain they've dug up to save costs. He wanted Alex Sandro so they've bought him some bloke who can't get a game for Roma and who even Conte hadn't heard of. He wanted Bonucci, one of the best defenders in the world, so they got him Rudiger who isn't half the player, for nearly the same cost. He needed central midfield cover so they got Danny Drinkwater after he'd spent a season stinking the place out for Leicester. Barkley seems to have been signed more or less on principle, though I'm not sure what the principle actually was. It's hard to feel sorry for a Chelsea manager with a good squad at his disposal but it has to be demoralising asking for decent players to help the team deal with a much busier schedule and getting bargain bin players instead. I'll never understand the Chelsea board's determination to undermine their managers right after they've achieved something10

This Chelsea defence haven't put a tackle in all game. I bet Watford wish they'd just run at them from the start0

Think he actually will be sacked in the morning.0

He’ll be lucky to make it to news at ten!Red_in_SE8 said:Think he actually will be sacked in the morning.

Cracking last ten mins though, reminded me of some of the buzzing midweek nights we used to have down The Valley11

This makes Watford's collapse against Palace feel even more inexcusable tbh, but great to watch3

Can't wait to see what recently sacked manager they bring in to replace him.0

Bloody hell, I stopped following the match at 1-1 and it finished 4-1!
Watford had been on a terrible run, and under real relegation threat. Now on 30 points, a good time to play Chelsea...0 -
My biggest fear is that Chelsea come knocking on our door............12

Nah they'd go for Tuchel I reckon.0

Conte looked like a done deal to go to Milan last summer.
Almost certain to go back to Italy now.
Maybe even the national team?
He said recently he doesn't want a national team job as he wants the day to day running. But it's surprising what being sacked can do to change your preferences!0 -
Worst half of football from them since.............last week when they turned a 0-0 half time score into a 0-3 home defeat to Bournemouth.Bournemouth Addick said:Might be the worst half of football I've seen from Chelsea in a long while. Watford have played well though.

Agree with this, i think he'll go to Milan. Gattuso really isn't the answer for them.stackitsteve said:Conte looked like a done deal to go to Milan last summer.

Going back to Juve could be a possibility if Allegri leaves this year, but i think he'd prefer to stay at Juve and then go to Arsenal in 2019 if/when Wenger finally leaves.0
