  • I’m laughing that anyone would want to pebbledash their house in 2018.

How anyone living in Catford can take the piss out of someone else’s abode is equally laughable.
Would rather live in a pebbledashed cave in Kandahar North.
Please - don’t just laugh over a keyboard. Fee free to meet and laugh in person.
I hope you're not calling Catford a shithole as that will be pulled up as being very naughty by many, many people in here.

Might be best to clarify before the firing squad latch on.
  • Was pebble dashing a method to protect a home from the bomb or was that just an urban rumour?

    Try these chaps.

Only on a Charlton forum would you find someone offering someone else out over pebble dashing .

Whereas on a Scum forum, you'd get offered out as a matter of course, just for existing.

Mines dashed, hate it. Would love to have it rendered.

    My old place was.
To break it up a bit I made a picture frame type border around each window (150mm) and painted it.
I actually painted the pebble dashing as well, well my mate who was on the dole did.
Pretty simple job and the finish looked pretty good.
A house facing the park in Woolf Terrace has had it done.
Take a look the next time your in the area.

Feck off, are you not aware of the pebble dashing gang clashes in the early Noughties. Hard core cladding, and rendering often fought vicious battles with pebble dashing supporters.

Haven’t ridden a horse in years. Not sure what good chaps are going to be with the pebble dashing.

It's historic cladding against the elements. Relatively cheap and lasts 70 odd years. Read up on it on account of this thread.

Put my excellent first touch down to kicking a ball relentlessly against the pebble dashed house I grew up in which would skew it's trajectory requiring me to hone excellent game reading, positional sense and trapping ability.

I would wager there is a correlation between the lack of pebble dashed housing being built and the demise in the technical standards of the kids coming through today.

Won't be many Messis coming out of smooth walled Barretts homes mark my words.

Might tweet the FA about this.

Young person here. What is pebbledashing and why does it sound like an offence that will get you an ASBO?

To the youngsters on here, pebbledashing sounds like something in DaveMehmet’s pornhub search history.

It is the act of decorating a toilet so as to render it unusable for a good while, ASBOs don't cover anti social pebbledashing as yet.

I wasn’t at all sure what this meant, then wheresmeticket? gave me a clue with the Makro’s car park reference. Having checked it out on the Urban Dictionary I now realise what I’ve let myself in for.
Look I’ve apologised unreservedly to Alan Dugdale and offered to buy him two beers, what else do I have to do to compensate for a moment of rudeness and thoughtlessness?
The last rumpus I had was with a Manchester United fan at the 1983 Cup Final replay. I’ve put all that behind me, I’ve tried to make a fresh start.
Oh and don’t ask the why’s and wherefore’s of what I was doing at the 1983 Cup Final replay.
That will only get me into more trouble.

Same as a Dutch Oven, except it's outside.
