It falls within the whatever of my post. The list would otherwise have been too long. Unfortunately.paulie8290 said:

You say maybe he understands the lingo then surely he would have known what firmino said

But media outlets have reported on numerous occassion that proffesional lip readers have confirmed thats what was said.
Obviously if The FA reports something different then I will retract everything.
But based on the knowledge so far, I was asking Holgate heard something in a foreign language and assumed it was racist3 -

They aren't 100% accurate, I'd wait for the full report to come out before assuming anything.0 -
It’s a fair point......I mean how did Evra know that negrito was racist?0

Right, so Rodeiguez looks like he's speaking at the same time as making the gesture - have the lip readers figured out what he's saying ?paulie8290 said:Back to what this thread was about i have found a videofor those who havent seen it

A lot of people talking about "The race card" like it's the US in the 90s.
The race card is not a thing. Racism is a thing.9 -
Unfortunately the lip readers are Portuguese so don’t have a clue.se9addick said:

All I have said regarding Rodriguez is Bong gets close to him, he holds his nose and makes a hand gesture as if to say his breath was smelly0 -
Ah that's a massive flaw in the process.SuedeAdidas said:

Tell that to the officers who had the very same card slapped in their face by Trevor Sinclair.SDAddick said:

What an utterly ludicrous thing to suggest.
The race card is very much alive and kicking. As is racism. Both are equally f***ing horrible. One due to the implications it has on those falsely accused and the other due to it being an absolutely abhorrent mindset to have, let alone forcing it on someone.
It's on a similar line as false rape/child molestation accusations. The stigma ruins lives.10 -
Apologies for not having read this whole thread, and it may already have been mentioned, but this event comes hard on the heels of Trump calling African countries 'shitholes', and of course shit mainly stinks.
I am probably over wired to this kind of thing, but I interpreted the smell gesture as racist because of the recent behaviour of the President of the United States. Bong was born in Cameroon.
It wasn't exactly a nice thing to do on the part of Rodriguez, and we also don't know what was said in addition.6 -
You're probably right. Rodriguez, if he was American, would probably have voted for Trump. I came to this conclusion due to the concrete link you mention between Trumps comment and Rodriguez's common reaction when two people are in each other's faces. I mean it's the first thing that any balanced individual would, and should, think of when seeing that on a British football field. That and the fact that he exhibits all the traits of white supremacy. I wouldn't be surprised if they were related.seth plum said:Apologies for not having read this whole thread, and it may already have been mentioned, but this event comes hard on the heels of Trump calling African countries 'shitholes', and of course shit mainly stinks.

Something like this happened in the Champions Cup Rugby this weekend, how if the refs mic picked it up, he didn’t, and didn’t show the player a straight red I don’t know.

"He said certain things of a racist nature and I took it badly. There are things that you can let pass, but I’m a man and a man of colour. We are in 2018 and there are things we don’t let pass anymore."
He said something in reference to my colour. You see very clearly he pinched his nose in relation to what he said. I asked him to repeat it. I think at the moment he repeated it he realised what he had said."
“He wanted to limit the damage. I said no. It would be incomprehensible coming from a fan, but from a footballer who earns a very good living and is there to entertain it should be punished.”
Brighton submit Gaëtan Bong’s claim to FA that Jay Rodriguez said “you’re black and you stink.”0 -
