Good performance, great commitment at the back. Rode our luck at times, but worth the point. KAG had three chances. One side netting, one saved and one went for a throw-in, but actually he did well to create the opening. Amos was kept busy and did well.
KAG looked better than Magennis has over recent weeks and reaĺly deserved a goal, had the brain to get himself into positions that a proven goalscorer would yet just didnt have the composure.
Defensively we've been terrible of late yet that was rectified tonight; Naby Sarr was back on form whilst Harry Lennon showed why he's a good Defender at this level after his Gillingham loan
Can’t remember the last time I celebrated a point that much. If we can keep a clean sheet against the league leaders and top scorers why the fuck can’t we keep one against Southend, Blackpool or Pompey?!
Much better second half where we were probably the better side, although still reluctant to attack and slow to support in numbers.
Could've knicked it at the end with KAG, who did well but just held onto the ball for a touch too long and just hit it wide across the face of goal. If he hits that earlier, we win 1-0. He did well with very little support tonight.
Good point, everyone would've taken that before the game. Let's go and get six points from the next two.
Fantastic. I look forward to the match comments and player marks from those that were there. Knowing nothing about the match myself, it's obvious that old wobbly legs number 4 deserves all the credit
Here's to a good Bank Holiday welcome home to the lads, and a derby win over the Gills. Well done to the valiant few that made the trip.
Will Grigg's on fire, but Ezri Konsa put him out, Will Grigg's on fire but Narby Sarr had too much clout. La la la la la la la.......etc

Really well put.
Thought Sarr and Konsa were excellent. Think Kashi looked back to it after a shaky opening 20 minutes. I think we all kind of forgot about Aribo because of the start to the season JFC and Kashi had, but today was another reminder that he is a very gifted (albeit still raw) player.
Credit to the team, and to Robinson for really stifling them despite having a depleted squad. After a run of bad results that feels like it has stopped the bleeding. Hopefully we'll see Bauer back on Monday with Holmes and Reeves from the start. But for tonight, a lot to be positive about.
Charlton see out the year with a well-merited draw. A huge improvement on recent play, so it would seem. Well played, chaps. Can we call this a 'Nearly ex-CEO bounce'?
Played with real spirit. Lots of good performances, in particular from Konsa, KAG, Sarr, Marshall, Lennon...in fact they all put a shift in. That's a real morale boosting point at a difficult time. They're playing for their futures (and probably for Karl's too).
Well deserved point. Our game plan worked and in the wider context of how poor we’ve been, hats off to the team and KR who has (rightly) taken a bit of stick recently (not the scouse stuff or gobinson) for being to rigid in his approach.
We frustrated Wigan and they probably couldn’t break us down in the way some teams frustrate us at home, only difference being we just don’t have enough up top to do them any damage.
Really, really need to follow it up with a couple of wins against Gillingham and Oldham, who I feel will providers us with just as tough a test, if not more because the onus will be on us to attack
Solid performance - what a difference 3 days make. Miserable on Boxing Day, but well worthy of a point and a clean sheet today. Sarr, Konsa and Amos were immense.
KAG could have even nicked it with a bit more composure.
Only real down side was the set piece delivery - really poor again.

Safe journey home cabbs, check the internet history on the laptop when you get in to make sure that lazy bitch has been job hunting whilst you have been out
Very good point. Set up as a very defensive 4-5-1.
The young lads were excellent. Sarr and Lennon won almost everything. Konsa was superb at right back and equally adept in the middle later on. Aribo was quiet first half, but improved after the break, putting in a superb tackle/block to stop a certain goal around 20 minutes from time. Dijksteel came on and looked class, including catching up with Will Grigg and taking the ball away from danger.
Special mention to KAG who did a great job up front. Tried to isolate their big slow defender for one-on-ones, getting through a couple of times, and also held the ball up as best he could. Not everything came off but he worked all night and was unlucky not to nick a late winner.
Amos was like a new age Stephen Henderson, time-wasting to an expert level and pulling off some good saves.
Kashi wasn't quite at it, but still put in a good display and wound the Wigan fans up no end with his dramatics.
The skipper was solid in the middle, and lead the team brilliantly.
Magennis didn't have a great game, not sure what we gain from him on the left other than aerial protection for DaSilva (who was good again)
Shouldn't be this happy with a point, but it felt like more than that.
Let's hope we start putting away the lesser teams, starting on Monday.
Sounds like a real shift put in by all. Whilst results have been poor, there have definitely been extenuating circumstances and I think the criticism the team has received in recent weeks has been very harsh from some quarters. This isn't the first time this side has shown some real fight and spirit, but it's more often come away from home and not been seen by so many people as would have done at the Valley. I think Robinson, the team, and several individual players deserve a bit more slack and faith from us fans than they have been getting, and I intimated as much before kick-off in the match thread.
Delighted to see my own faith in the boys vindicated and it's my opinion that battling through adversity is what this club is built on, so I always get an extra little shot of pride when we get something from a game against the odds through guts, determination and organisation. In fact, that was a rot stopping performance even Curbs would have been proud of. Like we would have done under Curbs, we must now build on it with some, on paper, easier fixtures coming down the line and hopefully some walking wounded returning and maybe a new signing or two to reinforce the ranks.
Automatic promotion was always likely to be a stretch for us and looks completely out of reach now, but the play-offs are very much achievable and with nearly half a season to go no reason we can't be the form team going into them.
Keep the faith lads - form always changes eventually.
Impressive and disciplined performance. Whole team did well. Every time I’ve seen Marshall, it’s obvious to me what a good player he will be for us. The mind boggles at the haters who give him ott stick. Hope Lennon is OK.
Loved Jackson busting a lung to nearly connect in the 6 yard box towards end of first half.
Watched the stream. Great result, both teams came close to scoring and maybe going on to win it - us with KAGs chances and Wigan hitting the post. A very Charlton result, grinding it out when recent form suggests it'll be a bad defeat.
Good to see KAG get the type of chances he did, don't often see Magennis get into those positions. Perhaps it's partly due to the sort of game it was, clubs battling at the bottom of the league playing us at home will be happier to sit back. He makes mistakes and misses chances but I don't think we should give up on him just yet. Wouldn't mind seeing him get a run of games as the main striker.

As Croydon says it's a goalscorer we need .

Very decent point away at the League leaders.

The KM effect lifts the team or super JJ does it again? Discuss.

Just a shame we were so poor at The Valley in the home December matches against Portsmouth and Blackpool.
3 points on Monday are a must to get us back in the mix.
