    Definitely!
  • bring back the rash.......
  • only as cover, and only on cover wages
  • he's unattached and must have an allure to charlton, he's not going to make outlandish demands

Diawara, Bougherra, Perry = 3 very solid centre halves and perhaps fortune could even be struck by lightning and transformed if we tell him he still plays for stoke
  • Why did we let him go in the first place. A very good player with a good footballing brain -Yeah bring him back.
  • Altogether now, we've got Chris Perry, he is ***kin quality

lol i used to love singing that!

it was dowie's impact decision wasn't it

chuck Perry and Powell out - a masterstroke, throwing out two of your most experienced and well-liked pros

hardly endeared him to the fans especially after the disappointment of him getting the job in the first place did it

Still not convinced by Diawara and Bougherra but in the CCC and with a decent run in the side I hope they prove me wrong.

Fortune did well for Stoke cos he's good enough for the CCC. Perry wasn't so hot in his last season with us.

Gibbs will be the main man in the back four, mark my words.

  • I think a few more need to be offloaded before many more will be coming in.

Who is Chuck Perry - is he the one who sang that song about a palarse fan hanging on a string? ;o)
  • well i'd expect kishishev, lisbie, el kak, maybe hughes, rommedahl all to be released in the next few weeks and perhaps young and thomas to be sold
  • Rommedahl has a year left, Hughes has been offered a deal.
  • I know it might not be a popular opinion but I think hughes could do a job in the cc
  • Agree about Hughes doing a job for us. However i don't agree we should offer Perry a deal. If he's not good enough for west brom who let's face it with their team should've come straight back up then i don't see why we would need him.
  • like afka says...

    cover
  • i'm agreed about hughes but he'll probably get released, can't see pards offering him a new deal

Let me get this right Henry you say that Diawara who after having a shakey start peformed solidly for the second half of the season and a player who Wednesday raved about in this league are not convincing!!

Yet cory gibbs who has never worn a charlton shirt will be a main man don't see the logic
  • But Bromley Addicks sponsor Gibbs shirt so that means he'll be good. But seriously if he is fit I think he will do well but that is hope overcoming reality I admit.

Don't think Diawara was all that solid. He stood up a bit more so didn't get shown up so much but pards dropped him at the end of the season. Yes, bougherra was raved about when at Wednesday but other than at Old Trafford, where he was fantastic, he didn't do it for me. We shall see.

I think bougherra and diawara with a good pre season behind him and hopefully D will have learned english will be a good solid partnership.

As Gibbs I will let you dream that he is a good as you thought as you have shelled out the money..... As he didn't actually get to wear a kit last season does your sponsorship carry over to this, i mean he's hardly ruined it has he ;-)

Was Gibbs Curbs' last signing or Dowie's first does anybody know?

If he turns out to be cr** or never plays we can all blame Curbs as that is fashionable and if he plays and is good we can praise Dowie and say we sacked him too soon:-)

Can you tell I've had a sh** morning?:-)

No refunds! Got his signed shirt hanging up in my office at the moment as we are saving it to raffle when he becomes a real star. : - )

The USA are a much higher ranked team than either Morocco and Senegal and Gibbs, when fit, got into their side. A player isn't automatically as good as the country he plays for but I think it indicates that he has something.

I hope Diawara and Magic do well but just not convinced by either YET.

Neither, he would of been a Mills / Reed signing
  • didnt he drop diawara to give bougherra a run out, after curiously spending out so much cash on him he had to really??
  • The deal was arranged under Curbs but was finallised, I think, during the interregnum. So we can blame Andrew Mills : - )

Didn't someone say last week they'd seen a Danish removal firm packing-up his house? Len Glover?

Yep, someone who works in the same building told me as Dennis was one of her neighbours.
  • don't forget bougherra's a native french speaker as well (and is not quite as mental as el kak)

could be a big help to diawara on and off the pitch

i expect rommedahl will go for a pittance anyway, 500k - 750k or even less - just get shot of him, if he hadn't scored the winner at selhurst he would've been out on his arse two seasons ago when he was still worth something
  • Bryan Hughes' house is also up for sale of that means anything.
