  • In a statement, Sheffield Wednesday said: "It has come to the club's attention that court proceedings were conducted yesterday involving Fernando Forestieri.

We can confirm that neither the club, Forestieri nor his legal team were aware of this court date and thus the arrest warrant for his failure to attend court will not now be pursued and a new court date is to be arranged."

I doubt many fans believe this.
  • So the Court just quash a Power if Arrest warrant because the defendant and his employer say they weren’t aware ? Hard to believe.
  • Depends who he is employed by and if it served at their residential address.
  • Steve Bruce to be named as Sheff Weds manager today.

Doesn't really fit in with their tightening of the purse strings. Surely he'll want them to spend some money, when they are already in trouble with FFP for next season

What's that about then? Give him the job but he'll miss a quarter of the rest of the season?

Normally good enough for the CEO ...
  • His payoff from Aston Villa may include a clause that he cannot take up another job in the Championship until the expiry of a certain period, his usual sidekicks are acting as the interim management team until end of January.

    Fergie drink, Bruce food.
  • Steve Bruce is a head strong character and very inteligent football man and he will not put up with a microsecond of Katrien's bullshit. Finally someone like that who can put that woman in her rightful place.

Didn't know Bruce recruited check out assistants for Belgian supermarkets. He needs to check when all his player contracts expire and make sure someone holds back some vol au vents for after the game.

I'm sure you've figured out who is working for who.

It's the first time I've heard of someone wanting to spend more time with his family BEFORE the job starts.

He needs a holiday to get over the shock that Greggs are selling Vegan sausage rolls

Family comes first obviously but it does surprise me that a football manager is comfortable missing out on a transfer window.

Maybe that's why she gave him the job!

It's incredible they're letting him miss a quarter of the rest of the season, and the transfer window. Although i guess it helps that the caretaker manager is doing pretty well and unbeaten in 4 games.

But having said that i've read both his parents died last year and he made a promise to his family they would all go to see England play a test match in Barbados. So fair play to him for keeping his family promise.
