...Coming to Southend? Might be a real boost to our chances

Cutting it fine for 12pm kick off

Should be fine for 1pm though.
3 hours then from Bromley to southend.
No wonder I don't the coach

    It was the wife.
I got back from Fleetwood and was more miserable than normal.
And after 9 years of marriage she finally let rip.

I find it hard to believe that your beloved lasted 9 minutes of marriage before letting rip.
  • Went to Southend last season. With the money they charge for the coach fare i would imagine they do make a profit. The club might run a bigger coach which would be a double decker. It would be better of running 2 coaches.

We run a double decker to Scunthorpe.
So I don't see why not.

We had a similar discussion before the Colchester FA Cup game 2 years ago. They haven't listened or learned, they treat away travel like a nonleague club. There's money to be made here, not lost you idiots.

Agree, it was only when they ran a coach from Larkfield direct that I and 5 others went.

I'm looking to get back on the winning trail on Saturday. This season so far P5 W 4 (Rotherham, Oldham, Fleetwood, Bradford) L1 (Scunny) Drawn 0. Or I'd be happy to break my duck for a point. Undecided on Wigan but might have to go now @killerandflash so that I can be the Yin to your Yang

If she'd been holding in her farts for 9 years, I hate to imagine how bad it was...

We don't want to know about your sex life on here.
  • Just a reminder to any Essex based Addicks that c2c Rail Services are not running that day - replacement bus services will be in place. Take a look online. Maybe better to drive down on the day.

    fixed it for you

That sounded vaguely bearable until you mentioned Coldplay.
  • Wings v Darts that day for those of you who can't face the schlep to lower Essex.

Tempted by that match. I went to Darts vs Ebsfleet last Boxing day
It's also the Darts v Wings return on New Years Day.
  • Just under 1,000 sold so far. I think thats pretty low for a local Boxing Day game, even with crap transport options. Was thinking we would take closer to 2,000.

Unless we get a ton of walk ups on the day I think there will be less there then last season, when we were in a worse league position.
  • I should be going with mate, stepdad, brother and his mate :) Mum in control of getting tickets hence why 'should'

    Has she tried Wind Cheaters?
  • Is it free parking at Prittlewell station on Boxing day?

never done football on boxing day, always see family.

Thats a wind up surely, get on a coach at Larkfield and two hours later arrive at Charlton - it's not a home match! Surely you'd do Bexleyheath and then Dartford last? As I'm sure they'll be going over the Dartford Bridge.........

Hardly a car park there. Plenty of off street parking up from the ground.

Snap, it very much depends on people's personal situations, relationships etc. Early ko home games always do, but not aways
