Well that was all very cheeky, wasn't it? It's certainly risky to start a player who hasn't played a competitive match in 11 months. I know he's been training with us for a while, but it's not quite the same, is it? Obviously we'll see how he does.
Also interesting to see how we line up. I suspect Magennis (or Best maybe) will play either as a second striker or from one of the wings with freedom to roam. That would allow of chopping and changing with Ricky Holmes (with Marshall staying wide), giving Holmes the freedom to pick up the ball and run at their defense. It could also potentially allow Magennis to attack crosses coming in from the left, and I imagine we'll be looking to target their wingbacks/fullbacks.
Or it could just be flat 4-4-2 with Holmes narrow and Best wide.
Horrible seeing the Valley like that. Some of tnose Checkatrade gates would be in danger if season tickets were only added to the attendance if the owners attended.
I cannot stress what a brilliant strike that was from Holmes that was somehow cleared off the line. It was a really well worked corner and it rolls across the edge of the area and he hits it moving away from the keeper and it's cleared off the line.
We've just been opened up twice at the back, Amos made an absolutely excellent stop by standing up the player 1-v-1.

Absolutely radio rental start to this game.
