If Fosu hadn't have gotten his hat trick it would have been Sarr. Hope he remembers to take Devante Cole out of his pocket before he gets on the bus. He was immense today.
Best performance of the season for me. We looked calm and composed throughout. None of the nervous energy we've had in other games. We kept the ball so, so well, exactly what I was calling for after Tuesday. We have the players to get 55-60% possession, and we ended with 57% today, would have been higher if Fleetwood weren't chasing at the end. We always looked comfortable.
This might, might just be a corner turned. There was something there today, a composure, an assurance, a way of playing possession-based, patient football that we haven't really shown in extended periods.
Special mentions to BFG, who skippered the side very well, Kashi and JFC who kept it ticking in the midfield--when they play well, we play well and that's not a coincidence, Ricky who drove at them, and Konsa who looked very, very good at right back.
Marshall and Reeves back in contention won't harm the options at all. Konsa needing to replace Solly now on a permanent basis in my opinion. Good three points and fifth place.
Why could we not have done this at Plymouth or Gillingham, both far worse teams than Fleetwood?
Was Solly not missed today? Is it possible his days as first-choice RB are numbered?
Not missed at all, nor was Pearce. Given Konsa's performance today and Solly's performance on Tuesday (and the few matches before that he looked shaky), RB is Konsa's to lose.
Best I've seen us play this season Fosu had his best game for us by a mile, Ricky was quality as always Sarr and Konsa both had great games and Marshall and Reeves both looked quality when they came on. No-one had a bad game and I'm feeling quite confident especially as players are now returning from injury. What with palarce and millwank both losing the journey home will be most enjoyable. COYR
Started off with both teams slowly waking up after Tuesday... Suddenly Fleetwood decided that keeping the ball in Midfield was boring and decided to bomb forward... thankfully nothing at all happened other than Charlton getting the ball back which lead to us taking a 1-0 lead, we did have some half chances (Nothing like what we did against Walsall) and suddenly it was 1-1 with the ball somehow sneaking through to their player who finished rather well I might add, that goal seemed to wake Fleetwood up and for about 10-15mins they should have taken advantage of their possession and should have taken the lead.
As it was we finally woke up completely ourselves and after making it 2-1 we never really looked in danger of conceding again but for some silly defending in stages (after it had gone 3-1)
Tariqe Fosu who has had an indifferent start to the season for me was the standout today and should surely be on the nominations for Player of the Month (across the whole League) whilst Naby Sarr showed Karl Robinson and the rest of the Charlton faithful just why we probably have one of the best Defences in the League (i.e. in terms of player selection)
Chris Solly promised us that someone would get hammered and in a way it feels like that today, but in a way it didnt...
In a way its a shame we now have two weeks off... the fact that Peterborough have been hammered today probably means its good that the game has been cancelled as I can imagine they'd want to do a Wigan (who travelled to the Valley off the back of a Shrewsbury defeat) and get back to winning ways as quickly as possible.

Bonus smile for Barnsley and Man U.
On their showings today; Marshall I think is a different outlet completely when compared to either Fosu or Holmes and will be interesting to see
Can see why people say that Ben Reeves gives his all... Even in his cameo he was appearing all over the place and not doing it casually either
Watched on Ifollow. We played really well today with Fosu giving them the run around. Had a five minute spell after they equalised where we was run a bit ragged however when we went 2-1 we pretty much controlled the game and was unlucky not to have score more. A nice break now for all the players to have a rest and get back up to speed. COYR

I don't care either way! Great result! Love eating humble pie as I thought we might lose today!

Just need to go on a run now to close the gap on the top two but 5th is a good spot for now.

Fosu certainly starting to deliver.
Didn't expect a win today!

Felt a bit too easy , almost a pre season friendly against a non league side , we were that comfortable .
This pub league is there for the taking , small cameos from Marshall and Reeves who on the little I saw looked very comfortable on the ball .
We’re still 5th , love those words .
