Sheffield Derby

Proper traditional Derby this one.

I know there's a fair bit of mickey taking about Wednesday and the Massives thing, but I've always had a grudging respect for these clubs and their support, and the numbers they have continued to draw home and away.

Living in South East, I'll never understand the concept of everyone locally supporting just one / two teams. Must be a cracking buzz around the place for these games

Problem is, there may be a buzz about the place etc. But the harsh reality is the football has such a large following because there's nothing else in their bleak Northern lives

Looking forward to this one. For a bit of interest, I’ve backed Ross Wallace first goal. So if you fancy a wager, avoid him!

Sheffield is one of the largest urban areas in the UK, it's also the cradle of the game .. be very nice to see a Sheffield club back in the top division
  • So which of the Sheffield clubs is playing Derby today

Well that lasted all of 2 mins!
  • When you think of Derbies here in England the majority of the big ones (Manchester / North London and so forth) feel tainted because they're games taken over by tourists etc.

This is one of those that feels nothing like that!!
  • United giving Wednesday an absolute going over here. Wilder has built a decent side there, wonder if he regrets not coming to us?!

Barry Bannan epitomises my feelings about Sheffield Wednesday. Hope United give them a good hiding.

Leon Clarke has scored twice!!! LOL
  • The Sheffield Derby is one of the real Derby games. Not generated by Sky and the plastics in the Premier League.

Actually I believe it is a commemorative shirt for the 150th anniversary.

Cracking game, I love derbies like this much more than the tourist shite in the Premier League.

  • Up the blades, fucking hate sheff weds
  • Great game, great result. Defeat at home for one the most self - entitled bunch of dick heads in the league.
  • Is Fox still with Wednesday , he wasn’t in their squad today
