Anyway, this game's gone. Australia won't bat as badly as us0
-
/ we won't catch as well as they did lol0
-
Terrible drop by Hales that0
-
Short caught and bowled Rashid0
-
Haha, Short could have put that anywhere! They're still going to walk it0
-
Stoinis out.
Australia 98 for 4.
Probably still going to lose though0 -
103 for 5.
Come on England0 -
That is harsh but Roy made the catch a lot harder than it should have been.blackpool72 said:103 for 5.

Overalled and not out.
F#$$ing joke.
Even Aussie comentater saying it's out1 -
Two let offs for Maxwell...1

Roy misjudged the catch and could have made that one step more to take it without diving.0

"same old Aussies, always cheating.."1
-
I agree but when the decision is this close the third umpire normally goes with the on field umpires decision.Addick Addict said:Roy misjudged the catch and could have made that one step more to take it without diving.

Games like today show what Root brings to the team.2
-
Maxwell 103 off 58
The other 6 batsmen 51 off 53
And we "dropped" Maxwell at least twice.1 -
Today showing that you need two spinners in any T20 side2
-
The Hales drop was a shocker, the Roy one I must admit looked ambiguous on the replay, it was really close to the grass. He misjudged the catch anyway.
Great innings by Maxwell, but England needed another spinner. Don't know why Malan wasn't tried for at least an over2 -
We missed his bowling today!Addickted2TheReds said:Games like today show what Root brings to the team.

T20 games are often one sided affairs.
You do get a lot of big hitting and it can be exciting but for me it is my least favourite format of the game0 -
The chat with Punter during play was interesting, but daft to continue with it and ignore the key drop by Hales, a strange choice by the Aussie producers0

Stokes coming back (one day) will allow us to have two spinners and four seamers too.Leuth said:Today showing that you need two spinners in any T20 side
Billings goes for him, Jordan goes for the spinner, still not convinced by "famine or feast" Roy as he barely averages 20 in international T20s (and just 27 in other T20s with a very poor BB season) so I would bring Root in and push Malan up to open (giving us a left/right combo too). Woakes has to come in and Morgan stays for now but, if he becomes the Mike Brearley of white ball cricket, we drop him too.
So we would have something like this:
Hales
Malan
Root
Morgan
Stokes
Buttler
Ali
Woakes
Plunkett/Willey/Curran
Rashid
Wood0 -
I still think Curran (?) should have bowled a massive wide or a bouncer for the final ball. They only needed 1 to win & therefore would have left the cheating bastard high & dry on 97. The Chappell's didn't have any problems bowling it underarm when NZ needed a six many moons ago.0
-
Don't think you can say he cheated! It was a dubious umpiring call0
-
No Morgan today, as he had a slight groin strain, Vince replaces him, Buttler captains0
-
17/2, Hales and Roy out cheaply0
-
34 -3 Malan run out0
-
This is painful!0
-
England obviously want to come home early by the way they're playing.0
-
Nice to see the lads have been practicing running between the wickets. Nearly a couple of cases of Yes, No, Yes, No, Shit, Sorry between Butler and Vince0
-
Vince has got most of his runs through 1st slip0
