In the first of our special series of ‘Charlton Live Meets…..’ podcasts, Louis Mendez chats at length with former Addicks defender Jon Fortune. From making his Premier League debut against Everton in August 2001 until leaving the south Londoners for the second time in 2011, Fortune’s career spanned the most successful era of the club’s recent history. The centre-half regales us with tales of his time in SE7, ranging from playing with superstars such as Jorge Costa and Paolo Di Canio, the downfall of the club after Alan Curbishley’s departure and, of course, THAT goal which relegated rivals Crystal Palace in 2005.
The show will already be in your Acast/iTunes feeds if you subscribe to Charlton Live, and is also available via our website -
