Spotted this in the small preview on the OS for Sunday's event: "All proceeds from tickets and programmes will go to CACT to support their work in the heart of the community." Matter notable for its absence in this statement - proceeds from catering sales on the day. Is the statement incomplete or can we infer that profits from teas and 14chips are staying with the contractor/club? I'll be patronising the Valley Caff pre-match just to be sure none of my hard-earned finds its way to roly's toxic pantomime.
Sorry missed earlier posts, I can't recall who told me now that Leaburn would be hosting in the lounges etc and not playing.......
Don't know on catering, I'd assumed as it's effectively outsourced they would need their permission and I doubt they would pay their staff for free if there was no income and the fact their taklings muist be hugely down due to attendances that it wasn't part fo the funds going to CACT but I could be completely wrong, just my assumption, call the club if you want to know.
A bit disappointing that if we can get 8000-10000 home fans in for a regular match, we haven't shifted more tickets for this.
I would say the numbers are about right. If 4,000 people are expected to turn up that is approximately 50% of the numbers that were at the game Tuesday night.
The crowd was never going to reach the levels of a league game, and those that were predicting a full house were way off the mark.
@Henry Irving is the museum open tmrw before the game? Would love to visit and fake my dad and grandad.
Can anyone confirm if the game kicks off at 1 or they are advising to get in seats in advance for player intros or anything?! Trying to plan what time to pick up my grandad!

sorry @suzisausage the museum isn't open as we'd have to shut it a 11.00 am when the Covered End opens but if you see Mr E ask him for a special preview

Already bought 4 tickets but trust can have the money as a donation.
If anyone could buy me a souvenir programme from the day I'd appreciate it. Happy to meet at a game some time to pick it up

I know it will be open, pity the club's announcer does not
Now there's a legend of modern day to get behind
