A friend gave Ms AA a rhea egg. This is it before we cooked a tortilla from it.

    I bought four hens earlier this year, two of them are laying double yolks every time. Can't beat fresh eggs.

    I make it a point never to eat anything that was squeezed out of a friend's rhea :wink:

    we are basically talking about an ostrich egg here. Didn't you expect it to be bigger than a normal egg?

    For a rhea, that is a normal egg.

    Yes, of course we expected it to be bigger than a hen's egg, but I thought most on here wouldn't have seen one before.

    Smelling is one thing but eating is just a tad risqué one has to say.
