Amos 5 - looked suspect for second goal though hard to tell as at other end. Not decisive collecting crosses and punched Bauer in the head trying to claim something he shouldn't have. Distribution was v poor. Long balls for Solly to flick on against a 6ft 4 attacker. Really? Pillock.
Solly 5.5 - tried but struggled. Stood his man up a couple of times but was beaten a couple of times too. Targeted with his lack of height. Really struggled.
Bauer 6.5 battled well. Tried to play the ball out.
Pearce 7 same as Bauer but the only one who matched their physicality in the second half.
Dasilva 7 - did well but massive ytargetted by a huge team. V. Good going forward but delivery suspect.
Forster-Caskey 6 - tidy first half. Struggled for space in the second half.
Kashi 5 - way. too. slow. on. the. ball. We needed pace and he went the other way. Played into Plymouth's hands. Defensively did well and always showed for the ball. Really tired at the end unsurprisingly.
Holmes 6 - tried hard but not his day. Ran out of ideas.
Clarke 7 - was the only creative player who was actually finding space. Don't understand why KR took him off.
Fosu 5 - nothing came off for him and he reverted to diving losing the respect of the players, fans and referees.
Magennis - 5 - not fit. Couldn't last more than an hour. Was half the problem in the second half as couldn't run. Wasn't match sharp.
Ahearne-Grant 6.5 - made a good effort and tried to make things happen, but with no movement or help in front of him reverted to keeping the ball too long and taking long shots.
Reeco n/a - cameo. Couple of nice touches but like with KAG no movement in front of him so struggled to link with anyone.
KR 4 - first half set the team out to dominate possession which worked. Second half we sat back and let them attack us - he didn't get the players fired up and we tried to beat an enormous team at their own game (and failed miserably). The bench was woefully weak and we don't seem to have the ability to switch to a different tactic which is worrying. Given how tired Magennis and Kashi wereally I don't understand why he didn't use his extra sub, or at least keep Clarke on who was playing well.
Finally, we were made to look like a really, really physically small and slow team today which is worrying.
I agree with most of what Beardface said above. No movement and little ability to beat a man which was a contrast to the Exeter game. They were huge and they made us play them at their game, which we unsurprisingly lost.
Amos 5. Not convinced. At mo I'm of the opinion Phillips is better. Solly 5. To many times he seems to give the winger to much time and space to get a cross in. Seems slow too. Been like this for a while now I'm afraid. Bauer 7. Strong and thought he did ok. Pearce 6.5. Average. Dasilva 6.5. Better first half. Worry his height could become an issue at set pieces. Forster-Caskey 6. Neat touches but didnt offer anything in attack or creative. Kashi 6. Probably expecting to much from him. Holmes 6. Busy first half, seemed to go missing a bit in second half which is not like him. Clarke 7.5. Best player. Linked well with midfield, always showed for ball. Cant understand his substitution. Fosu 6. Average, but wouldn't have replaced him with an untried youngster when we needed a goal. Magennis 5. Missed chances and looked lethargic. Needs to be fit to play as he's very average if he's not. Ahearne-Grant Reeco n/a
Amos 5 couple of decent saves in the 1st half but kicking poor, almost knocked Bauer out and I think he could've done better for their second. So far, I think Phillips is the better keeper. Solly 5 seemed off the pace. Slow and gave their wingers too much space. Bauer 6 solid for most of the game. Pearce 6 same as Bauer. Difficult game as the majority of the Plymouth squad were bigger than him and Bauer. Dasilva 6.5 targeted for lack of height but done well. Could work on his delivery into the box. Struggled with long diagonals. Forster-Caskey 6.5 looked to get things moving forward. Kashi 5.5 very sidewards and backwards today - I think that was down to the Plymouth defence getting tight to the 4 up front. Holmes 6.5 decent game but they dealt with him well Clarke 6 Tidy player. Will do a lot of unoticed work this season. Fosu 5 compared to last week he was very quiet. The Plymouth players stood off him just enough to ensure he couldn't turn them easily. They also doubled up on him. Magennis 4.5 the low mark isn't a dig at big Josh, but he's clearly not ready and looked overweight. For a big man he doesn't get in the box enough. Should've scored first half. Twice. Ahearne-Grant 7 he came on, he injected pace and he scared them. He's had a long raged effort well saved and it was a breath of fresh air really as we looked scared to shoot from range! Reeco n/a was brought on for Fosu which I couldn't really understand other than to get on the end of long diagonals (but we didn't play any of them). The lack of movement from our front 4 was poor. KAG and RHF both struggled to change the game as nobody would move around them
Amos 5 - I'm really not sure about him, looks shaky with crosses. Solly 6 - defended well enough, he doesn't have the movement of Dasilva though. Bauer 6 - didn't really notice him apart from winning a few headers. Pearce 6 - same as Bauer. Dasilva 7 - he's class, so calm on the ball even when under heavy pressure, glides past opposition forwards and wingers. Kashi 5 - the game seemed to pass him by, he didn't win many tackles or stamp his authority. Holmes 7 - typical Holmes performance, he drives us forward and really loses the ball. Clarke 6.5 - passed it around fairly nicely, an underrated player. Fosu 6 - not as a good as last week but pulled some the attention away from Holmes and worried the opposition defence at times. Magennis 4.5 - if he'd finished his chances the result would've been very different. Ahearne-Grant 6 - He looked pretty lively.
We really need another forward and keeper. Generally the team is better than last year, finish the squad and I can see us getting the playoffs. Holmes, Clarke & Fosu, (with Reeves & Marshall to come back) will scare opposition defences at this level.
Amos - 6.5 Looks like he's still finding his feet Solly - 5.5 Given a torrid time on occasions Bauer - 7 Steady Pearce - 7 Steady DaSilva - 7 Thought he was very tidy. Forster-Caskey - 7 controlled performance Kashi - 7 Did nothing wrong but was often too deep Holmes - 8.5 He's our metronome Clarke - 7.5 Like this lad. Workhorse and has skill Fosu - 6.5 Often too deep Magennis - 6.5 Not sure why but didn't look on top form Ahearne-Grant - 6.5 Hardly likely to change the game Reeco n/a
Amos - 7 Made a couple of good saves in the first half . I will judge him properly after a few more games . Wouldn't blame him for either goal . Solly - 5 Not sure that he is the player he once was . Teams like Plymouth will target him and DaSilva when playing together. Bauer - 7 Reasonable . Pearce - 7 Steady DaSilva - 6 Exciting going forward . The height is an issue as per Solly . Forster-Caskey - 7 Played well Kashi - 7 Defended well and kept possession . Maybe faded towards the end . Jackson could have come on ? Holmes - 7 Got into a couple of promising positions Clarke -7.5 Fast becoming my favourite player . I felt subbing him was the wrong decision although he is the one player to have played a part in all three fixtures this week . Fosu - 6 . Not as good as last week . A shame Marshall is not fit . I hope we do not put too much pressure on him . Magennis - 6.5 Looking unfit . Maybe should have been subbed . Ahearne-Grant - 6 . This is a big season for him Reeco N/A Good to see him feature . Hope over the course of the season he can make a contribution .
Amos - 5 Philips is more assured! Solly - 5 Both full backs did not offer much. Bauer - 7 Pearce - 7 Dasilva - 5 Forster-Caskey - 5 Kashi - 7.5 solid holding role Holmes - 7 Clarke - 6 Fosu - 5.5 Magennis - 5 If fit and sharp could have had at least a couple! Overall doesnt matter whom we put out there if the manager aint got a clue! or plan B!. We were slow, pedestrian and to predictable at times! Gave them to much space second period! Should have stuck with the team that beat Exeter!
Amos 5 why is he playing instead of philips and distribution is awful Solly 5.5 Bauer 6.5 Pearce 6.5 Dasilva 6 Forster-Caskey 6 Kashi 6.5 not his usual self seemed a little off the pace Holmes 7 Clarke 7 Mom don't know why he got subbed Fosu 6.5 Magennis 6 wasn't fully fit dont know why he was playing Ahearne-Grant 6.5 bright and lively Reeco n/a

Try not to comment on the scores thread, but I'm pretty sure Billy was hobbling as he went off...
