I cant believe the EFL have scheduled this fixture so early in the season. Plymouths pre season will be ruined after they get a thonking from the addicks.
My boss is a Plymouth fan and will probably be at the match today, i wont be as i am keeping his company going for him. Maybe a good thing i am not seeing him again till Thursday. 2-0 home win.
Does anyone remember a TV programme where the Plymouth chairman came to the Valley to see how a well run football club was organised? Perhaps they could do a follow up, and see what they reckon now.
I think that newly promoted teams are best avoided early in the season, as they tend to have a winning mentality and high levels of enthusiasm (on and off the field) before the autumn sets in and reality bites. Some air may have been let out of Plymouth's tyres with those first two defeats, although I don't read much into Tuesday's 5-1 defeat, given that their team only included two first teamers.
Without Magennis (especially) and Novak, I'm a bit worried about our vulnerability at set plays, given that our full backs, central midfield players and attacking triumvirate all under 6 foot (some of them well under ). That said, if we can control the middle of the park and quiten the crowd, we will certainly trouble them at the other end and should have enough to take something from the game.
A good turnout from our supporters, so hopefully the team will reward the travelling faithful with another good performance.
Wonder if the great Derek Upton will be at the game today. He managed Plymouth in the sixties and is always welcomed at Home Park. I remember him being at the match a few years ago when I lived in Cornwall and never missed the fixture.

Plymouth fans views, seems the majority really don't see them winning
