Don't think so. I think it's the farcical Check-Your-Pulse Trophy that requires you to play a minimum of 6 players who started the previous league game (was certainly something like that). I remember Gary Megson in charge of Sheffield Wednesday used all three substitutions to remove first teamers from the field after 15 minutes a few years ago.killerandflash said:Is it true that teams get fined for not playing their strongest teams? i do think its a bit disrespectful to the comp, as the top managers and quite rightly so get slaughtered for doing it, of course its good when a upset happens, but if karl's doing it i suppose we have to show faith in it, come saturday when weve been dicked 4-0 by plymouth and out the comp then i may think differently.0

Only 2 starters from Saturday travelled down. He specifically mentioned Watt, Sarr, Konsa, Crofts, KAG, Jackson, Reeves

I wonder if the two starters are Amos and Bauer.0

Phillips
Dijksteel Konsa Sarr Jackson
Crofts Aribo
Charles-Cook Reeves Ahearne-Grant
Watt
Amos, Barnes, Bauer, Doughty, Lapslie, Kennedy, Hackett-Fairchild2 -
It will be that team but Jackson instead of Barnes. Also Aribo to play alongside Crofts, Charles- Cook on the right side of midfield and Reeves in the number 10 roll. I want Charlton to win every game but I would take a loss to get a win on Saturday.sam3110 said:Phillips

As flushed as I am from Saturdays performance, I fully expect Charlton to be in full cup mode tonight.
We will probably lose, with a couple of injury's that will no doubt affect our season in the longer run.

0-0, penalties, 4-3 Defeat.1

We will probably lose, but its a chance to play some fringe players and its a tinpot cup - who cares.2

Is this game tonight in what was the league cup or the latest incarnation of the Johnstone's Paint?1

Seriously, I am happy with the approach, the league has to be our priority this season.

Narrow win for Charlton with it being a very good run out for the young guys! Thinking 0-1 or 1-2.0

2-0 win. Aribo (Love that man) and Watt to score. Shall be listening with great intent on VP. COYA3

Think you might need some Valium to get through the full 90 minutes. ;-)Rossman92 said:

Jacko will get mullered at left back. If you are going to play him, I would have him holding in midfield alongside Crofts. Have the two youth boys at full back3
