  • Just a reminder, there's a cab share going ....
    1430 Manchester Piccadilly - Oldham.
    1750 Oldham - Manchester Piccadilly

Let me know if it might suit?

Something tells me the outward leg will not have much interest.

Cutting it fine, but busy in the morning.
After 'lunch' on the train I figured I'd get lost without the cab.
  • The cut-off point to have a game postponed for international call-ups is six working days, so Saturday's game is guaranteed to go ahead. (Adverse weather forcing a postponement aside, of course! )
Regardless, neither side have any other players on 'standby' for their country so there wouldn't be a risk of reaching the required three in any case.

    So you're saying we're not signing Will Grigg then @Ollywozere ; - )

I hope for all your efforts the train is on time and you make Boundary Park by 15.00

I might be able to make the 12:00. Hopefully sweet talk the steward.

Now, now James we mustn't be sexist, it might be a stewardess or are they all stewards now like actresses are now actors. Life used to be so simple

    Mine too. The excitement builds.

Are stewards/stewardesses now called train assistants or something?

I think technically if you buy a low price ticket in advance you're supposed to go on the train that you booked. But I've missed a train before and went on the next one without any difficulty.

I think it will hinge on what their middle name is. Let's hope it's not 'Jobsworth' best of luck.

Tell them you're Jimmy Seed's grandson, that'll give you an upgrade.

That would be most unlike me, according to @Henry Irving and @SE7toSG3 lol

Have I ever mentioned that my middle name is Charlton?

They believed me when I tried that line.
  • Walsall last season wanted me to amend booking if wanted to change time
  • Have just tried to book 2 seats on the valley away coach for the game on Saturday and it says unable to fulfill request. Does this mean that the coach is sold out?? Do they only run one coach ?? Do you think I should ring the ticket office in the morning
  • I will wave at you all from the new stand

I may even give you a little jig on the pitch

Read elsewhere today others saying they couldn't get on 'the coach'

I would not worry too much.

The route they take for games and the volume of pick ups probably means they are leaving tonight.
  • Will they be selling tickets on the day?

    We will not sell out.

  • Meant to be going holiday on the Sunday out to Turkey for a family wedding. Driving up on the Saturday to Glasgow as we all the family are flying out from there. Do I stop off along the way to watch the mighty Addicks at Oldham? Proper tempted to be fair. My Dad on the other hand is a grumpy old git and will probably want to just get up to Glasgow lol. What's Oldham like as an away day chaps?

Go to Oldham, leave the family in Manchester, then carry on from there.

You'll be glad of the rest, although not so sure of attending the game.

Aside from that, Oldham is a toilet.
