superb. Didn't even know that was in the offing

    Meanwhile back incompetence central.

KM "Merde, have you seen the new video Tom"

TR "I know, I know. I'll mass spam all my journalist contacts and tell them the bouncy castle in the family enclosure will be even bouncier for the last game of the season against Swindon"

    KM "Well done"

Tom knows all about the video, rest assured...
I wonder if Tom asked for a right to reply............
Should post the Moscow Charlton video next
  • If only there was a way to get that onto the big screen on Sunday!
  • hes one scruffy bastard aint he roland get him some nose trimmers.
  • Katrien needs to watch that and try to listen and understand. Sadly, I doubt she's capable.
  • I used to have to type up lectures for a previous boss from his MSc course on sports regulation/management at Birkbeck uni. I'm sure Sean Hamil was often the lecturer as it used to take me ages to type up 2 hours of his continuous talking with his softly spoken N.Irish accent. v passionate/knowledgable - what a fascinating job!

loved the video. sent to my Dad to watch...... will let you know what he says about it!

    From Birkbeck Website:

Dept of Management | Our Staff | Academic staff | Sean Hamil | Biography
    Biography

    Qualifications
Sean graduated with a BA in Economics and Politics from Trinity College, Dublin, then proceeded to the London School of Economics where he took an MSc in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management.

    Employment history
Sean worked as a business analyst with the Henley Centre for Forecasting and then as a researcher for New Consumer, an educational charity focusing on corporate social and environmental responsibility.

Prior to joining Birkbeck, he was a Lecturer in Business Management, specialising in business strategy, at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

That is simply a superb video on the protests.

No histrionics. No hyperbole. Just "ordinary" fans fighting for the soul of their club. No scripts - just each and every one of them speaking, unrehearsed and from the heart.

The Guardian has no axe to grind. No angle. No reason to support protesting fans. They were just reporting. This is the unvarnished truth.

Let's be clear, CARD did not (as some say) hi-jack the protests. It simply gave form and voice to feelings that many had but could not, for a variety of reasons, translate into actions.

How any fan can see that video and still say "I want to give the regime yet another chance" is beyond me.

Yes, we probably all feel that we've had enough of protesting from time to time But what's the alternative? Roll over and let them stick it to us? Because that's what they're doing.

Not while my Charlton heart still beats.

    Sunday. 11am. Outside North Stand.

    See you there.

Roll over & become St Truiden UK

  • It's funny how the press can misinterpret a situation. Katrien told me that Roland saved the club, is building a new stand and I believe her. The guardian is making this all up. The protests didn't happen.
  • Great video. Good to spot myself outside the Oak and in the Cov protest. Looking forward to Sunday even more now
  • My first visit this season to the Valley will be on Sunday just hope there is lots of us there.
  • Superb video. Simple as that.

    .
Perhaps Katrien could explain her business strategy, with its unique selling point as outlined in Dublin, to him - would give him a laugh if nothing else.
  • Brilliant video, wonder if clowns like
Reams of Verse and Bexleyboy on the other site
make of it! Way above their comprehension!
  • Brilliant effort, roll on Sunday.
  • What a brilliant piece of journalism from the Guardian. Makes me so proud that I have been a part of our struggle.

The humble and crystal clear message from the participants stands out a mile.
  • Brilliant piece. So looking forward to Sunday.
  • The club, our club not theirs really is lucky to have some exceptional people who support and care for CAFC, the film illustrates this perfectly. Thank you

  • A very well made piece and such a well spoken bunch of fans!

See you Sunday at The Valley.
  • Very very good and very well said.
  • Well done all......not sure anyone could slagging off any of the speakers as all were articulate and made their point easily. Highlight was the listed building analogy, also thanks to the Guardian for the brilliant coverage.
  • Then its worth its weight @bromleyjohn a brilliant post and one I hope touches others, together we can all make a difference
  • Great stuff.
