Blimey this thread has seen some very weird discussions (pot noodles, poetry, etc.) since its inception and now we have come to digging each other out again!! However, this time not about who knows more about The Takeover, its about people who still boycott, those that did and now don't and those that never did and the allocation of away tickets should we make the play-offs later today!! Now forgive me for being 'thick', but what the hell has the above got to do with the everlasting takeover, and moreover how does someone prove that although they didn't go to the home leg (which would be me), they weren't boycotting they had to be at work? Do I need to present a letter from my employer saying that I was unable to attend Thursday's home game due to work commitments, therefore please can he have a ticket for the away game? I do wish people would think before making comments!!
Regarding your comment about being “thick” I think the point being made was pretty simple tbh.
The team are in with a bloody good chance of promotion (form team entering play offs if today goes to plan) so let’s put the takeover circus to one side and support Bowyer and the team.
To me that seems an entirely sensible approach
Totally agree apart from the club are making it as difficult as fucking humanly possible for fans to buy tickets and give Lee and the team that support.
Oh come on, it was simple. All you have to do is click on activate & complete a few details like name address & phone no.

I think a lot of people are getting really precious about this boycott lark - just bloody go for christs sake. If you dont, its only your (and the teams) loss.
Disagree entirely.
Dont know about everyone else, but i'm really bored with people coming on here and saying they are still boycotting - come on here and say you are breaking your boycott and supporting the team else dont come on here at all. Had enough of all the negative shit.
I'm bored with people like you digging out the boycotters constantly. And who the hell do you think you are telling people that they can or can't come on this forum?
You do your thing and let others do theirs. If you don't like reading about certain things, then scroll on when you see them, just like many of us do when we see some of the crap you post.
Wow, I've clearly upset some of the boycotters on here.
@WestCountryAddick, hmmm, there's no need to get lary and personal with something/someone you disagree with - even with your 20 something likes it just shows you (and them) in a poor light - my comments on here have never been directed at a personal level and i would have expected a little bit more 'class' from yourself tbh.
However, my original point still stands, i have always been of the belief that everyone is obviously free to make their own decision re boycotting - however for one game, and its one game ffs, put your differences aside, get behind the team and cheer them on to victory, surely thats what we all want?
Ii am also of the belief that should we get to the semi-finals that anyone who boycotts the first should be put to the bottom of the queue in terms of applying for tickets for the away- after all, they werent prepared to go to the first, so why should they have equal rights to people who did go? It could be easily done, if you want a ticket for the away leg, then provide proof of a ticket from the home. Thats only fair.
I've been to 11 away games this season and that counts for nothing? The only thing that matters is attending home matches (or in fact a single game)? Please clarify because it really sounds as if that's what you are saying.
If true then you proven my point about posting crap.

I think my point was that it was time to put the sword down for one game ffs. Just get behind the team for one game - go back to your boycotting next season - if you want to go around accusing individuals of posting 'crap' then thats your prerogative- but that doesnt come over very well and that certainly doesnt make you look very good or clever as an individual. Have i spelt it out clearly enough for you ?

Floyd Road ("Thunder Road" by Bruce Springsteen, re-imagined for CAFC.)
The transfer window slams, Katrien's dress waves Like a vision she dances across the porch as Sheffield plays Chris Powell singing "if only" Hey, that's me and I want a new owner, only I won't attend a home match again, I just can't face another season with Roland, again
Don't run back inside, Rolly, you know what I'm here for So you're scared and you're thinking that maybe you ain't getting £77.5M anymore Show a little faith, there's magic in the night You ain't a quality owner, And that's not alright, with me
You can hide 'neath your covers and hire another bitch Make crosses from your profits, we'll throw piggies on the pitch Waste your summer praying in vain For a buyer to rise from these streets
Well now, I ain't no investor, that's understood All the redemption I can offer, RD, is sell to sell, you really should With a chance to make it good somehow Hey, what else can we do now?
Except, open the ticket window and let the quality of play blow back your hair Well, the night's busting open, these playoffs might take us anywhere We got one last chance to make it real To trade in this division on a steal Climb in back, The Championship's waiting on down the tracks
Oh oh, let go of my hand We're riding out tonight to case the promised land Oh oh oh oh, Oh, Floyd Road, oh, Floyd Road Lying out there like a red couch in the sun Hey, I know it's late, you might survive if you run Oh oh oh oh, Floyd Road Sit tight, take hold, Floyd Road
Well, we've got Rolly and I am worried he might balk But my car's out back if he is not ready to take that long walk
And I know you're lonely for kind words that I ain't spoken But soon we'll be free, all FFP limits will be broken
There were ghosts in the eyes of all the lads you transferred away They haunt this Valley in the skeleton frames of burned-out Chevrolets They scream "Fuck off Roland" at night in the street Our Powell jersey lies in rags at their feet And in the lonely cool before dawn You hear their bus engines rolling on But when you get to the porch, they're gone on the wind
So Rolly, climb in You're a loser and when you leave we will start to winnnnnn
Keep it going, it’s fascinating watching grown men acting like children.
Equally fascinating watching grown men and/or women commenting on grown men acting like children.
Etc.
What we need is more poetry.
There was a young man from Kent Whose tool was so long that it bent. To save himself trouble He put it in double And instead of coming, he went.
There was a young man from Harrow With a tool like a prize winning marrow To save it from hanging and taking a banging He wheeled it round in a barrow.
