I think a lot of people are getting really precious about this boycott lark - just bloody go for christs sake. If you dont, its only your (and the teams) loss.
Disagree entirely.
Dont know about everyone else, but i'm really bored with people coming on here and saying they are still boycotting - come on here and say you are breaking your boycott and supporting the team else dont come on here at all. Had enough of all the negative shit.
If people want to go that is fine.
It can be said why give money to somebody who has f***** us over(this I have said before). Bit like drinking with somebody who has shagged your partner.
There is a principal in all this.
"Don't come on here at all". It's a forum about opinions you pompous bottom.
Let’s take that Sky article at face value as being correct and then dissect some of the bits in it
‘One is an Australian consortium involving Andrew Muir and at least one former Charlton player’
So has anyone with any insight have any view that that is referring to anyone other than Paul Elliott? Is there any other ex player potentially involved?
Mark Aizlewood or Richard Rufus knowing our luck.....
Not sure where Sky are coming from, unless the paperwork from CAFC, being delivered by courier at EFL House in Preston, on Monday was a vol au vent recipe.
This has come from a non Charlton supporting friend, who admittedly works for the EFL in London.
Still convinced Duchatelet will retain an interest in The Valley once the deal is completed.
You are not going to like the new owners either, you will be worried about their exit strategy, have they got enough money, who is really behind them, why do they really want a football team, have they a hidden agenda, will Bows and JJ be kept on, ......etc etc.
Exciting times! Go with the flow.
How do you come to these conclusions regards the opening paragraph?
If Roland is getting info fed back to him about the upturn in fans flocking back due to recent results which I am sure he is I feel there is a very good chance he will hold onto us in the Championship.
Bigger crowds, the away end sold out most weeks, TV money, more sponsorship money due to TV coverage, more club shop sales.
Promotion to the Championship is a game changer and we are not dealing with an English, rational owner.
If that’s the case there’s little we can do about it. But us and Roland did have a couple of seasons in the above division, he wasted a lot of time and money and pissed many of us off. So he knows what not to do. If he wants to keep us and stay in the championship he needs to assemble a competitive squad and spend a load more money, wisely. If he does assemble a decent competitive squad, great, finally treating the club and football with the respect that it deserves. Can’t see it myself though, he’s not interested in us.

Maybe the Belgian bstd has changed his mind and decided that during that time period he don’t want to go through with it
Or someone else gave him a call and said go up and I will match your asking price
This news just means that we are fucked if we go up and we are fucked if we stay down. For either eventuality it's likely to be at least another month until any sale, which means another month with nobody making plans, player wise, for either outcome.
There is NO WAY Roland wants to run this club next season. Even in the Championship he'd still lose money heavily, and the chances of him spending enough for us to compete at the top and actually reach the PL are zero.
He's tried football and has moved on. Indeed once he sold Standard Liege, his whole network dream died. It's all about the price now, as it has been for several months.
As someone who thought @DOUCHER got a foolishly rough ride on here, I hope he calls it right. A lot of stick he got seemed to stem from not saying what people wanted to hear. But he and NLA seem to have read the tea leaves correctly.

Because your a miserable c#nt
Pots and kettles.
Snap just said to the wife im getting old. Yeah old and f@cking miserable she said
Bad timing for an announcement of that kind. We want unity through the club and a good atmosphere through both players and fans leading us onto Wembley.

Wasn't an announcement so don't worry - no quotes from club or either consortium. All from "sky sources" - it's just sky stirring the pot a bit because they have a game to promote for Saturday, and then it also gives them a narrative to push for our televised play-off games as well.

Can’t see too many people other than Addicks giving a toss to be honest.

They've got to have something for the pundits to speculate about though haven't they - I doubt anyone other than Addicks give a toss about the story they put out today as well but that hasn't stopped them publishing it has it?
Not surprised by that really. It's much like selling a house... one that's in Bermondsey is far less expensive than one that's in Greenwich.
...and also if that house had the ability to up sticks and move?
But yeah I agree with you and Davo and others who have made the point. A few weeks ago I'd resigned myself to the fact that it wouldn't be until the end of the season. It's unfortunate because new owners will have less time to develop a strategy for the summer and next season (I really, really, really hope we keep Steve Gallon, he seems to have done excellent work), but it's a tournament year which means a lot of transfer business will be delayed until after the World Cup, which gives them a little grace period.

I'm bored with people like you digging out the boycotters constantly. And who the hell do you think you are telling people that they can or can't come on this forum?
You do your thing and let others do theirs. If you don't like reading about certain things, then scroll on when you see them, just like many of us do when we see some of the crap you post.

Not a bad shout , I’m fully expecting Karl robinson to be in the studio if/when charlton play off games are televised!

luckily, in spite of Rowland, most of the fans and players are in unity thanks to Bower and Jackson and don't think it will have any impact on the play offs.

That's what Richard Murray said.
