Didn’t Terry (killersbeard?) say on the Sunday night show that he had the feeling something sizemic has happened in the last week, judging by KR’s demeanour and attitude? Take a bow son
Cheers fella, but I suspect I can't have been alone in thinking it.
I actually like KR, when you are speaking to him regularly it's difficult not to, his enthusiasm, (false or otherwise), just rubs off and for all the perceived flaws to the ultra rigid system, the injuries and the late collapses, I genuinely felt that the squad did too.
But over the past few weeks we've had the loss to Peterborough and Karl telling those same players that if they didn't fancy it, stay at home.
Then Blackpool happened and I don't mean just losing, the players just didn't turn up, the post match was ultra strange, including the whole 'takeover up in the air'/ 'told him we should have bought a striker' statements.
On the back of that, although the Fleetwood match which was marginally better in terms of player attitude. We had the first real instance of an open criticism of fans afterwards and his general demeanour was well below his usual ebullient self. But what was key for me, was that during the game there was no usual exaggerated histrionics against poor decisions. When Tarique got taken out a few times, the fourth official wasn't berated. When a few soft decisions went against us, it just seemed there was a shrug and a wry smile and then we had what looked like a perfectly good goal from Ajose chalked off and.........................nothing! Not so much as a whimper from players and coaching staff alike.
The smiling face as he walked off amidst crowd boos?????
Something wasn't right, but then let's face it this is just another in a four year series of the 'something isn't right' show. :-(
@Redhenry has to my knowledge never divulged the nationality of "his group" clearly as he's not prepared to break confidence. As much as we want to know, it's unfair to keep on at him
Agree, let's Kuwait and see what happens.
Iran around the living room in excitement reading this thread; Oman this is getting exciting, Sudanly things are happening and beginning to look Syrias. As for RD, Saudi let KR go? Yemen, I reckon he should.
It feels like Jordan with these puns, but I just know there'll be more
Karl Robinson claimed that the takeover was up in air after the defeat to Blackpool although how much that was about diverting attention away from the dismal performance and how much was new information is open to debate.
CARD responding to this and the lack of further information from Richard Murray or Duchatelet by calling for protests from the Rotherham game onward, in both SE7 and Belgium.
@Redhenry had stated that the very rich party he is aware of is still very much in the game.
One comment, believed to be referring Redhenry's party, stated "The deal is mega, chairman already in place"
@Airman Brown mentioned Australians and "Arabs" as being the two parties involved in an article for Talksport.
Richard Cawley has said on Talksport that a takeover is "not far off" but isn't saying who or when.
@Redhenry and @Airman Brown both believe it to be very close with Airman saying that the "intention is Monday" (26/3) and @Redhenry saying it's not "his lot" which suggests it's the Aussies.
Paul Elliot mentioned as new Chairman.
Meanwhile,
Karl Robinson was allowed to leave by mutual consent after revealing that he has twice tried to resign. He is expected to join Oxford United.
Lee Bowyer, assisted by Johnnie Jackson, has been placed in charge of the team.
It's a seminar given by Accenture to finance professionals from another company. Nothing to do with Charlton Athletic (other than the fact they've hired the conference room). Although, as there's no bugger there any more they could have just walked in off the street and set up free and gratis

Keeps the sandwich maker busy though - no bad thing there.

Wow - I must have missed that comment.

"What makes me laugh right, is just because an Australian consortium goes and buys a football club, you assume they'll want an Australian manager"
xx
Start praying people
Finance guys at Charlton Athletic Football Club - learning a lot and building relationships for the future.
It's been another quiet week in Takeover Land.
