Several DDs can happen at the same time. We once had 3 on the go simultaneously.
The two bids"excepted" dont have to be the same monetary value----could be money up front and then bolt-ons , money but certain assets NOT included, all debts paid and all the dosh etc etc

Its believed RD has a preferred bidder which could mean anything ,but given the old c--nts track record is more than likely to mean he ends up keeping the freehold to The Valley. The other "excepted bid" might be more dosh but RD has to sell the lot.

    Tic toc Tony tic toc

Your use of the word “excepted” really annoyed me then for no real reason other than being totally wrong

Then I read the last few pages and cheered up

Hoping Redhenrys group are still in the running. I’m assuming they are as it’s definitely not the Scottish consortium
Dont forget the article from McLeish the other week saying that the Scottish lot being unable to match the price wanted by Roland

I'm going with: Party One = Andrew Muir | Party Two = The group that RedHenry has been talking about

what nationality are your lot red henry? are they foreign?
    Yes
Is if the Kumars at number 42?

    Is it Bernard?

    It's always Bernard

    Very well known also.

Not trying to hint towards Red Bull but do they own any other Football clubs.

i.e. Wouldnt be the Qatari's who own PSG would it?
  • Can I just say

See you again with another statement at the end of the month

Ha Ha Ha so Red Henry has confirmed his known guys are Foreign & I believe that he has said they're not Aussies, so if there's anybody that still believes doucher has any idea of who is involves that means we 3 parties ..... FACT
  • Redhenry said:

    no

Can you confirm they are one of the parties that have agreed the price?
This is the question I’d like answered
  • Uboat said:

Doucher and Henry Irving both saying British in the most unexpected union since the Nazi-Soviet Pact.

No, I said the rumours were that one new party is British.

But false rumours are being spread and there is a time lag with news from weeks ago only reaching people much later.

Surely someone from CAST/CARD etc, can ask the club/Murray ASAP to clarify his statement and clear up the misunderstanding.....or is that too simple a thing to achieve?
It’s well known that Richard Murray reads the forums and no doubt is already well aware of the confusion that’s been caused. Interesting to see if he clarifies the situation.....and if not why not?
Does it mean he deliberately set out to confuse us all.....the Richard Murray I once knew would have reacted very swiftly to clear things up.......nowadays, sadly, I really don’t know?

To most, there is no confusion - there are 2 consortiums - as there have been for some weeks and both have now had their offers accepted - so the deals are partly both done but when drafting up contracts etc and until they are signed, nothing is a done deal - 1 party is Australian, the other is british and is the one I would put my money on - not redbull, not the known Scots and if red henrys lot are foreign, it's not them - hopefully it becomes 'done' in the next few weeks - if not, once next years division known would b my guess
On the contrary......you only have to read the comments on this thread in the last few hours to see there is plenty of confusion with several different takes on what he has said and what he means.
Indeed, you have just added your own opinion, which, like most others, you believe to be correct, when in reality all you have done is added to the confusion.
What is there to be confused about? The statement on the OS is pretty straightforward.
Charlton Athletic Director Richard Murray has said that a price for a takeover of the club has been agreed with two separate parties and that the deal is now with the lawyers.
We’ll, surely you can see there is a lot of confusion......by a lot of posters.
Would do no harm to clarify whether he means two different parties interested in buying or that the two parties are one bidder plus Goldfinger.
Not too much to ask is it?

    @SoundAsa£

@Ollywozere works for the club in the Comms team.

He was off work yesterday so he didn't write the statement

He came on here and clarified that two separate potential buyers are still in the process to buy the club from Duchatelet.

Murray told the staff around February 1 that there were two parties still involved and that one was British.

The other is believed to be the Australian bid headed by Andrew Muir.

Red Henry believes that there is a non-British/non-Australian bidder individual still in the process.

The Scottish group are no longer bothered.

2 separate bidders leaves the Aussies and a question mark.

    I like the unknown

apparently Doucher says they are English. then red henry says they are foreign
Murray said there was a second, British party and they were favourites at that stage when he spoke to staff at the end of January, as reported in VOTV. He has now confirmed my report two parties have agreed a price - and added they have agreed terms. That doesn’t preclude other interested parties also existing.

It’s painfully drawn out and confusing, but I really don’t get the pessimism in some quarters. If you stand back from the minutiae the narrative is clear. The club is being sold.
i think the only pessimism from some is due to lack of patience. its taking an excruciating long period of time. neither according to @Redhenry have actually met the price agreed as of yet. Murrys statement, you (VOTV) and others on here broke the news of these two bids being more or less accepted over a month ago and we still seem to be in the same position as we were back then. unless I've missed something.

RD: So I want £50m for the club
    P1/P2: Okay thats agreeable
RD: Excellent I'll send you my PayPal details
P1/P2: Nah we dont trust PayPal!!

That would contradict what Murray said though.

In my case the pessimism comes from the outcome of the last two sales - first the spivs, then the nutter. Why should this one be better? Of the two options out there, Roland will want to get the best deal for him, not for CAFC. Indeed I wouldn't put it past the old twat to screw us just out of spite.

I can see there is confusion, I just don't understand how people can be confused. The article on the OS is pretty clear, a club employee has even confirmed it on this very thread.

The comment from Redhenry about the group he knows about being " well-known" has completely thrown me.

    It’s an individual
A well known individual who is 'Man City rich' can't be too many of those around.
  • If it ain't a group and its an individual, there's only one name that comes to my mind and that's David Essex.
  • Does anyone actually know who RedHenry is?
And by that I mean actually know him not just in the virtual sense?

Or is he just someone who guessed something right a while ago and his kudos grew from that.

His answers are so peculiar and vague at times. I have my doubts.

Maybe Red Henry is not English and English owners are therefore foreign to him.

His username sounds Russian, or at the least Communist. So what British person would be known to the Soviets? Jeremy Corbyn is buying us!
And Dianne Abbott is the Chief Financial Officer......bankrupt in weeks.
