If the new owners get us into the premier league I’m happy for it to be called the Roland Duchâtelet Valley with the Jimmy Seed stand replaced with the Karel Fraeye stand.... maybe not
Ashley would be a disaster. Why? Because he has been one everywhere he goes. But it would make some sense. With Muir being an expert at reducing debt and Ashley demanding to make a profit each year, combined they would be a tag team of destruction. Ashley is one of the most hated owners in the world of football. To think he might be okay for us because we are small flies in the face of his history, in my opinion. He has been despised everywhere he goes almost as much as RD has. Plus, the idea he might be spending some money to own CAFC shares while he has made zero funds available this window for a PL club in a critical relegation battle, says all you need to know, if true. Ashley has taken one of the bigger clubs in England and got them relegated twice and maybe even a third time by the end of the year. Not what we need here.
The Geordies seem to hate Ashley but he always appeared to be putting money in, buying decent players, well known managers etc. I realise that he also liked to move players on for a profit too, but I never understood why they hated him so much.

Those problems are like me or you complaining about dropping high speed wifi connection while some poor Northerner still doesn't have electricity because your Belgian landlord won't pay the bills.
Ashley has plowed so much money into Newcastle it’s ridiculous, it’s only their deluded fan base who think they are a top 4 side. The money he spend both times Newcastle got relegated was crazy to ensure they returned at the first time of asking

If the rumour is true then perhaps after a sale of Newcastle is complete, he'd become an official part of the set up.
Was probably our money anyway. Maybe he's returning it to its rightful owner.
KR behaviour and criticism of RD leads me to believe a deal has been done.
