'Joking' aside, I would prefer the Aussie bid to this new one. I think they would be more likely to 'get' Charlton.
All a bit of a guessing game really, unless others have more information than me that's a case of saying, do you want an unknown quantity from Australia or an unknown quantity from somewhere near Dubai? How would I know what the advantages or disadvantages of either would be.
What I really want is: - Someone who is ambitious for the club, not just for themselves personally. - Someone with a positive and workable vision for how they can make a success of the club. - Someone who will respect the history, traditions and fans of the club. - Someone who has sufficient surplus wealth that can be invested to make Charlton great. - Someone who will put a decent management team in charge of playing matters and give them the necessary support to do their jobs without interfering in decisions that should be left to the experts. - Someone who doesn't come with unnecessary baggage that could be harmful, divisive or embarrassing. - Someone with the will and the skills to encourage the board, the management, the players, the fans and the employees to all pull together in one direction: making Charlton Athletic great again.
I don't know how either of the two possible buyers match up against any of my criteria, but for the moment at least I'm happy to lower my sights a little and go with anyone who isn't Duchatelet.
One would think that most of those boxes would be ticked by the Aussies but the most telling box that needs ticking would be who has the finances to achieve the success you mention......in which case I would imagine it wouldn’t be our Aussie friends who get that tick......unfortunately. Catch 22 I fancy.

out of interest why? Muir and his Aussie mate are minted.
* Is the second bid from a buyer that has already done DD or is this a totally new buyer and hence yet to do DD * If it's from a new buyer what happened to the previous buyer that supposedly did DD?

Because it’s not been made certain that he’s involved......though come to think of it, we don’t know who has!!!

I appreciate we may find out more in VOTV tomorrow and if so just say (we know you're not making it up just to sell more copies!).
I think likely to be a new bidder who hasn’t done DD and that the first one hasn’t completely gone away, but there will be a lot of smoke and mirrors here to confuse the position.

I like Switzerland very much, but sadly I've not visited for some years. I really miss it - as they say, absence makes the heart grow fondue.
