I'm as eager for the sale to go through as the next customer, but I don't get the scarves hand over and closing the Roland out fund just yet.
It seems to me that, from the outside, we are in the same position as we were with the Aussies.
I have taken a step back from being premature, that has never been me. Perhaps those that have more experience of being premature can explain why I am wrong?0 -

We are further down the line than the Australians by my reckoning, statement on the O/S, attendance at every game since then including away's, meeting speaking to supporters and the positioning of those involved that this is real, ex-directors tweets, Bowyer's meet and the instagram updates/posts.
I am still not completely relaxed until I know Roland is history and has no connection with my club, but, it does feel a lot more realistic than the Australian interest.10 -

Just to clarify, @TellyTubby. The protest fund is not closed and wont be until we see firm confirmation that the club has been sold. We did the "final" status report in preparation for this likelihood. Perhaps a little early, but quite a lot of people were asking about and speculating on what happens with the unspent funds.11

The timing of the EFL responding has nothing to do with charlton confirming it, only the EFL can control that.
I do wonder if it's being planned to announce either in the weekly presser, or even as late as the Bristol game.
