Woke up this morning feeling fine I’ve got Charlton on my mind We’ve got our Charlton back like we said we would Oh yeah Something tells me i’m into something good!!!
Wow, checked this thread at 8am, come back 300 odd new comments. Sounds like these guys have some serious cash. On the football front I think we're all agreed we have the right people, with a bit of investment who knows where Bowyer can lead us.
Am I putting 2 and 2 together and making 5 or are we literally the richest club in the world?
He's part of the same family as the City owner, so you never know.
I hope and expect that the new owners and their advisers have fully done their homework.
But
Sheikh Saeed Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan the ruler of Abu Dhabi who seems to
be behind this take over is related to Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al
Nahyan who owns Man City?:
Just got a bloody lovely email, can see 300 new posts so certain it's been posted already but...
We are proud and delighted to announce East Street Investments have agreed the purchase of Charlton Athletic Football Club.
We are privileged to take ownership of such an historic club and it is incredibly exciting to be part of the process of building a fresh future for the fans, loyal club staff and players of Charlton
Athletic.
While we may be the club owners, truly we are only the custodians. The true spirit of this football club rests with the fans, it is nothing without them. Their support throughout some difficult times
both recently and in the past has been inspirational and we intend to build on that loyalty. Our priority will be immediate contact with fan groups in order that their views play a major role in the club going forward.
We believe the football side of the club is in excellent hands with Lee Bowyer and what he and the players have achieved following promotion
has been outstanding. We will do everything possible to support Lee’s vision and ambitions.
We would like to thank Roland Duchatelet, his team and the directors for helping
to facilitate a quick and smooth sale. They leave the club with solid
foundations on which we can invest and build.
Any deal of this kind is subject to the approval of the EFL and we are now working closely with them on the final details to satisfy their Owners’ and Directors’ Test. Until that has been received, we
will be making no further comment.
But please be assured we intend to do everything within our power to bring back a true sense of pride to Charlton Athletic Football Club which is the least the fans, future generations of supporters
and the community deserve.
I've got a mate who's a Citeh fan from way back who used to stand on the Kippax and he's had a bit of stick from Manure fans of late because they're not top and behind the scousers at the moment. He says compared to what he has put up with all these years in the shaddow of Manure he's more than happy with his lot and still has to pinch himself that Citeh are one of the best clubs in the world these days. Without wishing to get ahead of ourselves, if these new owners help us achieve a fraction of what they have I'll be over the moon because notwithstanding the highs, we have suffered as a fan base more than most over my lifetime. That's not only under the toxic regime of the Douchabag but Gliksteins, Hulyer, Fryer & co (heroes to villans), the Spivs and in his later years Murray so here's to the new dawn and the return of some normality and stability, COYRs 🍻🍻🍻
But a cautionary note. The EfL haven’t approved it and we don’t actually know who these people are.
If they’re true to their statement and maintain the status quo in terms of Bowyer, Gallen and JJ plus don’t meddle with playing matters and lump in a shit load of investment then we really have hit the mother load.
Cherry on the cake would be a live streamed sacking of Thomas D.
At last........going to be some party @ The Valley tomorrow. Lets all hope that these guys have not only money (sack and sacks of it by the sound of things) but also interest in and ambition for the club unlike the old fart who can now be forgotten (although I will hopefully still be able to attend his funeral and dance on his grave). Roland's Out !!

Won't matter once we're in the Peninsula.
Just unbelievable.
The hours that have gone in to this moment from so many people is just staggering.
Couldn’t be happier.
