I was just on a 486 to North Greenwich and some bloke called Gary told me Roland the Rat and Dalman had adjoining rooms last night at the Clarendon and LB met them for a shandy in the bar. It's happening.
Dazzler was getting a hand shandy off his Brighton mate in the toilets.

They were the only 2 blokes to be seen in the toilets at the Spice Girls concert.

1745 history posts from Happy valley Around 400 'ITK' posts from the likes of Jimmy Seed, Doucher, NLA and Redhenry. 58 posts from Henry Irving telling us why he deserves a promote. 106 posts from Napa justifying a 77m price tag. 6 posts from Dazzler telling us about his Grindr date on a train. And the rest are absolute nonsense.
It is actually possible that that price (£33m) was agreed all that time ago. How we’d laugh...
Staying on track. I hope I'm on the right lines here but I had very interesting long chats to two men I was a stranger too on trains. Both guys told be so many things about the behind the scenes activities at Cafc. I can spell bullshit from 10 paces but I believed both of these guys 100% ?
It was enjoyable traveling with Johnny Humphrey from London Bridge to Charlton and again from Charlton to London Bridge after a game last season where Charlton and Wolves the team Johnny spent his earlier career with was talked about as well as JH career as PE and football coach at a school.(the team from Surrey wasn't mentioned)
Also had a great chat with Paul Mortimer about the Rooney rule and all things Charlton from new Eltham to London and London to East Croydon.
Neither had a clue about how the SOC would pan out
Ps. Please PM me for time of trains, stops and numbers.
Best right back since I have been going, way back in '76.
Agree Elf's, By a strange quirk of fate, my fav LB was Rhoys Wiggins and we ended up sitting next to each other for the Donny home semi final. As we know injuries ruined his career and it's sad to hear him say that the 2 years he lost when at Palace at just 17 stopped him reaching his potential. I don't usually brown nose players but did say he played some great stuff for Cafc with his attacking wing back runs when fit. It's crazy to think that at just 30 he had to find a new career. Rhoys is studying sports nutrition and living in Bucks. Rarely goes to football now as I think it has too many sad memories at the moment, he also said when on loan at Birmingham he felt that the knee injury would be his lot as not only was his knee spent but unfortunately so was his spirit. Another good guy who has played for Cafc and he never wanted to leave(settled with his family in Shortlands) but having signed the contract he then had more injuries, he realized that he would be moved on as football is a cut throat business.
Ps. Heard on CL that he went to the final as well.
I met Humphrey the once when seeing us out in Sweden in '89, a cracking fella as well.
A fantastic right back and easily the best I’ve seen at Charlton in my time (which post-dates Billy Bonds). John Humphrey would certainly have played for England in the late 80s if he’d played for the ‘right’ club. Gary Stevens of Everton, the regular England right back, was good going forward but not a patch on John Humphrey’s arse defensively.
I liked Royce Wiggins very much and agree that he would have had a career in the Premier League but for injury. All players must live in fear of that - hence the need to cut these lads a bit of slack when they look to try and secure their and their families’ futures.
Not sure if that has been posted already, but was dated on 6th May 2019, having got our final league position wrong in the statement, it has also said they’re one of three to be in the running and that they’re currently raising capital and looking for any extra interest.
It also says it was published by the Australian Football Consortium (AFC).
How real that is I don’t know. Just thought I’d share it.
Just wondering what is the very last day when new owners could buy the club allowing a decent amount of time to make new signings? I’m guessing 28th June?

I don't understand why they are still trying to raise capital 2 years down the line, when many many people are telling us they have plenty of money, but just don't want to over pay for a club they agreed a price on years ago ?
Wibble wibble. I think that's reasonable proof that they don't have the funds for what they intend.
I wonder if all these people involved in the takeover that we keep hearing about encountered on trains are bumping into any of those Millwall and Pompey fans on the East Croydon line

Culloden.
Both bonny men.
One says bonnie Prince Charlie stayed here 1744 the other says the Duke of Cumberland stayed here 1746.
Or something similar.
