This photo makes me slightly angrier every time it’s posted. That guy doesn’t even deserve to have entered The Valley!
  • He looked disenteristed from Day 1. No excitement from him at all
  • Even with all that money, he is one miserable looking po_faced git!
Yeah. And Roland's pretty grumpy too.
  • What were the rumours today then?

The man for all seasons v the man for too many bloody seasons.
33 LOLs for a joke about a 16th century saint and philosopher.

    Gotta love Charlton Life.
  • This needs to go through so much. Looked around a very busy Valley yesterday and remembered back to the days when it was rocking and full. I just thought to myself that its such a shame we have an owner who shows such little ambition for our great club. Its all there, the stadium, the fanbase and the history. We just need an owner with ambition and the passion to take us forward. Please just sell the club you old fool.
    I thought exactly the same.
As you say we have a lovely stadium and a large catchment area, with an increasing population.
It's fake news promulgated by posters like Chizz that our club is in terminal decline.
It is not, although we all know that RD needs to sell, in order for the club to rebuild.
A 17,000 + attendance, even if it was £5 admission, proves that the club is still very much alive and waiting to rise.
    Just sell the club.

Could it possibly be that RD hates us so much that he would sell to Oyston?
And where is Oyston going to get £30-70m from, bearing in mind he has to give £25m to Belekin (sp?)?
    Easy ..just ask Diane Abbott
  • Is Benny the Beluga whale still roughing it in the Thames in Gravesend ?

Does this qualify as a fish pun ?

  • The takeover might be dead, but this walk through Tudor history is at least quite interesting.

Problem is the way things are going this thread will eventually be walking us through the the next millennium.

You say that like it is a bad thing.
  • 1535 Cardinal John Fisher, Bishop of Rochester is executed.
As a man of Principle, Cardinal John Fisher opposed fat Henry the misogynist and lost his head, But he also allowed many Gypsies who had been banned from Europe from1530 to park their wagons around the fields of Rochester and Gillingham. Many of their ancestors can even today be seen in the local area telling one's fortune and giving out lucky heather for a small donation.
  • Just caught up with the last few(!) pages of this thread. Is it really any wonder that we seem to have gone down in the dumps since Christmas?  Bowyer and the soon to be out of contract gang must be thoroughly fed up.
  • I know a song that'll get on your nerves, get on your nerves, get on your nerves, get, get, get, get on your nerves.
