  • Rudd:4 keeping was unsure last night
    Solly:4 legs have gone
Bauer: 4 shows all German exports at that good
Pearce: 4 give benefit of doubt coming back from injury
    DaSilva:5 tried
    Jackson: 5
    Forster-Caskey:4
    Aribo:4
Holmes:5 worked harder than any one
    Maginnes:4
    Watt:4
    Byrne: 4
Over all an abysmal performance and on that show alone we deserve to be relegated.
  • Rudd: 4 What has happened to the confident keeper he once was?
Solly: 4 Hope he was just rusty.
Bauer: 3 Not the player he was.
Pearce: 2 Very lucky not to be sent off in his first match back.
DaSilva: 5.5 A half decent performance
Jackson: 4 Hate marking him so low.
    F-C: 1 Shocking.
Aribo: 4 Out of his depth.
Holmes: 7 At least he works hard, must stop the reckless challenges, but at least due to frustration, which shows he cares.
Magennes: 3 What has happened to him? What do we do to our injured players?
    Watt: 2 Hopeless.
    Byrne: 4 Not great.
  • In terms of a professional sports team the lack of effort was poor; in context of the occasion it was inexcusable and, frankly, embarrassing
    Rudd: 4

  • Rudd: 5
    Solly: 3
    Bauer: 3.5
Pearce: 3.5 should have picked up a second yellow for a clumsy pull.
    DaSilva: 5
    Jackson: 3
    Forster-Caskey: 3
    Aribo: 6.
    Holmes: 5
    Maginnes: 2

    Byrne: 4
  • Rudd 5.5
    Solly 4
    Bauer 5
    Pearce 5
Dasilva 7.5 Won loads of headers!!! Should have had an assist but Twat cocked up.
    Jackson 5
    Forrester-caskey 4
    Aribo 5
    Holmes 6
    Magennis 4
    Watt 3

    Byrne 4
  • Rudd: 4. Not that much to do but just doesn't inspire me

Solly: 3. Busted flush. Great shame. Extra point just because it's Chris.

Bauer: 3.5. Not the player I thought he was

Pearce: 4. Benefit of the doubt as he's just back and isn't match fit.

DaSilva: 5 - tried. Skilful. Will hopefully develop.

Jackson: 3 - as per Solly

    Forster-Caskey: 2. Dogshite.

Aribo: 3 - all over the place but not in a good way.

Holmes: 6. Never gave up. Took a few thumpings. Bit of a headless chicken though.

Maginnes: 2 - clearly something not right with his head at the moment. Probably thinks the manager is a tit.

Watt: 1 - worse than having ten men. What a waste

Byrne: meh. I was asleep by the time he came on.
  • Rudd: 5
    Solly: 5
    Bauer: 5
    Pearce: 5
    DaSilva: 6
    Jackson: 5
Forster-Caskey: 3 Anonymous as usual, you hardly notice him until he makes an error.
Aribo: 4 Hardly put in a challenge all night.
Holmes: 7 The only player who gave 100%.
Magennis: 4 He's either still not fit or he doesn't care anymore. I'd like to think he's still not fit.
Watt: 4 Lost the ball nearly every time & did so again which led to their 2nd goal.
    Byrne: 5
  • Rudd: 6 unlucky as an initial good save for the first.
Solly: 4 Poor tonight. Bad decision for the first.
Bauer: 5 Didnt seen to want the ball tonight.
Pearce: 6 Good to see him back and straight away you could see he want to run through a brick wall for the team.
DaSilva: 6 Was one of our better players on the night. stuck to his job.
Jackson: 5 Didnt really get into the game at all.
Forster-Caskey: 5.5 We were sold that he was going to run game etc. Not good enough even at this level.
Aribo: 6 Young and inconsistent. Cant help the youngsters being put into a team that is so crap.
Holmes: 6.5 Not everything Ricky does is going to come off but he certainly does not hide and gives everything for the team. Where would the season be without him?
Maginnes: 5.5 Where has the Josh gone pre Millwall? Still tried to put himself about but nothing coming off.
Watt: 4 lost the ball so easy for both their goals and that was his evening really.
Byrne: 6 Looked to inject something into the game when he came on but cant really take his selections seriously when he plays right back the last month and then comes on wide right and then ends up front.

For me the Byrne scenario sums up team selection at the moment. We never pick the same players and we are constantly changing the formation. Last night a lot of the players didnt seem to know their jobs and thats where the manager has to take the blame I think.

  • Presumably everyone giving DaSilva 4 left after the opening goal? I know that performance was trash but there's an irony in calling out the players for lack of effort but then not bothering to identify the ones who, you know, played well and put in a shift
  • First time Ive seen a lot of these players so excuse the harsh marking asoverall we were shocking

    Rudd: 5
    Solly: 4
    Bauer: 3
    Pearce: 5
DaSilva: 5 Only because he starting playing in the second half.
    Jackson: 3
Forster-Caskey: 1 Was he playing? total cack
Aribo: 3 Rabbit caught in the headlights
Holmes: 7 The only one worthy of the shirt last night
    Maginnes: 2
    Watt: 3
    Byrne:5

Clueless Gobinson 0.5 for being there to witness this crap.
  • Rudd: 4
Solly: 3.5 not matchfit at all. His reaction time was abysmal.
Bauer: 3 prob our worst cb in our squad bar johnson. Why is he being picked before tex ?
Pearce: 5 let down by bauer time and time again.
    DaSilva: 5 looked decent occassionally
    Jackson: 4
Forster-Caskey: 3 I keep expecting him to be better than he actually is.
    Aribo: 4
Holmes: 4.5 not a good night.
Maginnes: 2 did actually FA. Bring back novak.
Watt: 2.5 gets half a point for turning their cb in the first minute.
    Byrne: 4
  • Rudd: 5.5 could of done more for the first but made a couple of decent saves later.
Solly: 3.5 he would have to admit that was one of his poorest games, probably of the pace. no help was provided by anyone else when you could see he was struggling, not helped by the formation.
Bauer: 3 slow. didn't read situations. no confidence. Tex or even ulvested should be ahead of him.
Pearce: 5 first game back but did ok.
DaSilva: 4.5 exposed in the first half because of the formation, similar to solly. no cover in front. got better in second half.
Jackson: 5 went far to deep when they were in possession.
Forster-Caskey: 1.5 looked lost in the middle. anonymous for most of the game. looks a poor singing.
Aribo: 5.5 struggled first half improved when he was more in the middle second. he kept trying till the end.
Holmes: 5.5 was marked tightly. like aribo main marks given for not giving up.
Maginnes: 3 won some headers but was pointless when no one was near him. bit of a passenger.
Watt: 1 worst performance I've seen from a talented player who didn't turn up last night. at least with Novak you know he's not great but he will try. very disappointed in you Watt.
Byrne: 5 he came on added a bit of pace and skill

Karl - ZERO. Tactically inept - has been for most of his time with us. inconsistent team selection. chops and changes players without any purpose. possibly the worst manger/coach we've had under this regime. agree with others that at least Slade knew how to set a team up defensively to give us a chance.

    Rudd 5
    Solly 5
Bauer 4 - Some misplaced passes. Lack of passing options so lumped it up front.
Pearce 4 - Put in some poor challenges and could have been sent off.
Da Silva 6 - Had a good second half with some nice touches and a few good passes. Always looking to go forward and not sideways or backwards!
    Jackson 4 - Easily bypassed.
Foster-Caskey 4 - No end product but for what it’s worth kept looking to receive the ball.
Aribo - 5 Did ok but positioning poor. Probably KR's fault.
Holmes 6 - Did ok. Free kicks poor and corners not much better. Certainly made an effort.
Magennis 3- Headers went nowhere and didn’t appear to do enough running or chasing lost causes. Must still be carrying an injury.
Watt 3 - Very poor. Bad touches and gave up in the second half. At this rate he should be playing non-league football.
    Byrne 4 -Did ok.
Botaka 3 - Nothing to note.

Robinson 0. Formation awful, ball possesion appalling (going sidways or backwards) and defending poor. Our throw ins are one dimensional and predictable to Magennis, please change this!
Don’t look like scoring a goal and blame him for letting Ajose go without replacing him.
Apart from the Bolton game, whilst he's in charge we've looked unfit.
Shouldn’t be given a penny to spend next season so go now!

Shameful performance. Watched them warm up and feared to worst.

    Ok, I'll bite :-)
Everyone marks differently and in my scheme, I start everyone at 5 and add/subtract how much I think they materially affected the game - I try not to separate effort/ability, just outcome. I probably marked Jay lower than you because, IMHO, he didn't do enough - not because he didn't want to but because he didn't see enough of the ball. Compare with Ricky; he got lot's of the ball but, apart from not being able to cross a T, he was almost willfully refusing to play DaSilva through on several occasions (which may have pushed DaSilva's marks up too)
My opening comment was borne out of frustration of the entire team. I rarely comment on the marks thread, but to follow up your question: Those who tried; Holmes, DaSilva, Pearce: Those who had a massive lack of effort; Watt, JFC, Maginness. The rest just didn't seem to care that much.
And no, I didn't leave early, I did as I usually do, wait until the last player has gone down the tunnel and while I wouldn't boo them, they certainly didn't get any applause......

This is after calming down and trying to be rational. Was the worse Charlton performance I can remember in 50 years of supporting them. Don't think it all down to Robinson but something is very very wrong at the moment.
