    Who says the big Clubs don't take the F A Cup seriously? Assuming Spurs don't throw this away, the five remaining sides in the Cup happen to be in the top six in the PL - and the other one, Liverpool, chose to put out a virtual reserve team throughout.

    The issue is more to do with the lack of strength for the rest of the sides in the PL - when they leave half or more of their first choice side out due to the desire to preserve their top flight status, they don't have the depth of reserves to compete.

    spurs have been pretty average. millwall making it easy by letting them have most of the possession. 2 good shots. still least those muppets down the road are losing.

    Good point. Shame there's no underdog there ( present team losing excepted ) though.

    Yes, we had a really strange final 8

    5 of the top 6 clubs fighting for CL places
    Just 1 other PL team
    No teams from the Championship
    1 from L1
    1 from the National League

    It's also the decent Championship clubs who play weakened teams in this competition, as the prize of promotion is so important...

    Most of us oldies who played in that era wouldn't have made half time these days, you took some stick and you gave it back, that's just how it was.
