I noticed Ketts on Dr Kish has left Tex out altogether. He is usually knowledgeable as to what is happening and I do not think Tex is injured, so is he one of the 40%? or am I reading more into this than there is?

I posted this on the "what did Robbo see " thread.

It's already been mentioned, so I'm not starting the rumour.

A fellow fan told me that before KO, Tex was showing the other players on his phone, the clubs who were after him or who had agreed to sign him in the summer. Allegedly Bauer may have also done similar, but not prior to KO.

I suppose it could explain when questioned why KR was so irate and said he couldn't do anything about it.

If he leaves out Tex, he only has Konsa and Bauer to play CH. Pearce & Lennon are still out & Johnson has effectively gone, as out injured for the season.

If this is ballcocks, then apologies to Tex, but then KR should have kept schtum, as it would 100% provoke speculation such as this.

Anyway, ultimately it's still the regime who are at fault and if Tex has been ignored from August to November as I and many others anticipated, in favour of playing the youngsters (Konsa) and is now only in the team occasionally, because of injuries, I can understand why he may have the hump. I would too, although I'm not condoning unprofessional behaviour.

The regime's aim of break even and not caring whether we win games or not and playing the kids when they are not as good as the professionals available, will always give rise to these issues.

Just sell the club to a viable buyer that wants Charlton to be a professional football club, rather than a player farm.
Yet KR has succeeded in doing exactly what he wanted when he said those comments

We've barely debated his future and how badly he setup the team to face Shrewsbury - Instead the majority of our time has been spent wondering who on earth the mutineer players might be

It will be largely the same team. For all his bullshit after the game about the players, it has now sunk in that he made an idiot of himself with yet another fictional rant. He's probably been given a ticking off by the powers that be, over being critical of players publicly, as it may affect their future value.

This is the same reason he has now come out with a kiss arse statement on the official site, saying how pleased and impressed he is with how the squad have trained since Tuesday's defeat. This is so that he can use this as an excuse for fielding the same players he was uber critical of a few days before!

There are still problems at the top. But Robinson is an idiot who is out of his depth and has no clue what to do next.

I cant see anything but another loss i'm afraid. Perhaps the players just dont like him and think he's a bit of a knob.....like most of us do!

A bad result at Northampton - KR must know, this is his D-Day. Surely?

It is going to be interesting to see what team KR picks and what effect his comments will have. I'd consider a back three of Konsa, Bauer and Tex for this, given personnel issues. Ulvestadt has to come in - he might not have been brilliant for us, but he has been pretty solid and undeserving of his non-selection. I've heard there might be an issue between Watt and KR. I hope not, but he needs to play him anyaway.

Tex celebrated madly when scoring v Rochdale. Seemed up for it that match at least.

why are many assuming that Tex is one of Robinson's 'no-hopers' ? .. O K he got bottom marks from the electorate at the Shrews game, well behind (e.g.) Konsa. Byrne and Novak which is just ridiculous in my opinion and YES, I know that it is all about opinions .. if he'd not played we could well have conceded 6 ..
if anyone, including Robbo from the Pool thinks that our best central defensive pair is Konsa/Pearce, I would refer them to the away game @ Bury, where Pearce was bewitched, bothered and bewildered as well as flattened by a very big, tough and aggressive Bury outfit. as was Konsa @ Rochdale ..
we gotta stick, so far as possible to Bauer and Tex, injury and being in Robbo's good books allowing
  • 3-1 defeat.

We are due a red card so I am going with Rudd off inside 15 minutes.

And then we would be Rudderless.............oh hang on a minute
  • After Robinson 's outburst during the week I'd be amazed if the atmosphere among the players is anywhere near good enough to win this match.
I can only see us losing this by a couple of goals.
I shall be there tomorrow as i purchased my ticket a while back but I wish I was going to Belgium instead far more fun to be had there rather than Northampton I feel
  • Robinson does not have a clue and with such a relegation 6 pointer match like this there will be 1300 disappointed Addicks come 5pm. 2-0 to Northampton and we drop ever closer....

If so, those of you going need to MAKE SOME NOISE as someone once said....

  • Robinson and Holmes will take a ton of abuse from the home fans. Roland out chants from the away end and another draw for the away team.
  • Trust me, this is where it all starts, hold on to your hats and I hope you can stand heights as we rise to the dizzy height of 12th at the end of the season
  • Hope for the best, fear the worst.

I predict. Once again some players will be shaking hands and introducing themselves to their team mates. We will miss an open goal after 15 seconds and then after flattering to deceive rely on a fat Scotsman to get us out of jail. We may also have a sending off and concede 3 goals although the keeper will play well.....
However, this time I think KR will be out.

Judging by some of KR's previous quotes like I'm here to bring on the youth players and the results come second, I'm beginning to think he, like Liar, might keep his job no matter what. He's living in the same fools' paradise as douchebag and Meire but, as far as the regime are concerned, he ticks all the boxes. However desparate he sometimes sounds I think he'll be here in the summer.

IMHO his 'bringing on the youth' hasn't really worked - Madivididi injured after three games, Konsa (from those that have been at the games) seems to be a spent force and over-used, Aribo's heading the same way and, since his debut as sub only to be subbed 30 minutes later, da Silva's just warming the bench.

KR was a big fish in a small pond at MK: now he's finding out how tough it is at this crackpot club, but he serves as a great buffer between the fans and douchebag, and he's obviously bought into his player farm project, and for those reasons I think they'll keep him
  • A big 3-0
  • Another 0-1.

good post .. I fear that the bit I have highlighted is VERY close to the truth
  • People from Northampton love jokes about cobblers
  • I think we'll win actually, maybe 2-1, paper over the cracks a bit and Robinson will be out with all his "I'm so proud of those lads..." spiel a few days after eviscerating 60% of his team publicly.

  • Another rivoting game of hit hope run then miss (all except the crossbar & uprights) by the rejuvenated Power Point Addicks...then more of the same torturous gabble from the Scouse Mr Chatterbox on speed, talking about some sort of game plan that once again went horribly wrong, blaming all and sundry to all that will listen...don't think it will end well...3-1 Jacko consolation

    "We Want Roland Out"
  • Back in Aus after witnessing the last point this tortures outfit managed to salvage. I still love this club, whatever abuse they dish out. I know, there should be a shelter for people like me...
just avoid relegation, it's not funny anymore ...
  • After Knobinson criticised the players midweek I fully expect another defeat - 3-0 to the Cobblers.
Can't expect Holmes to keep scoring. At least one red card!
  • Holmes scored a hat trick last week so is bound to be dropped.
Rudd played well despite conceding 4, so will be rested.
Solly to play as the up front target man!
    Tex to be made captain!

Who knows what drivel will be served up. Very apparent after KRs post match rants that these aren't his players so why would they be motivated to play for him.

Just can't see anything positive at the club at the mo. Another defeat on the CARDs!
  • How many here would like a 1-1 now!

    Phillips in goal.

Robinson made some positive comments about Novak, so he'll start.

Magennis cemented his place as fan favourite when he scored the hat trick v Rovers, has now become a mystery man. Is he fit? What happened to the lung busting efforts to get back and cover? Is his heart really in it?

I'd be tempted by Novak/Watt up front. Possibly. Can't work Watt out.

Konsa and Aribo both seem like they need a rest possibly?

I'll go with @Henry Irving's Hackett-Fairchild, Barnes and Dijksteel, even though he was joking and I know nothing about them.

Seriously need a win or two. I'm not sure we can survive a drop to Div 2 with these owners.

Predicted 4-3 or 3-4 on Tuesday.

Predicting 3-1 on Saturday I'm afraid.

Either he is still not fully fit physically after that horrible injury against Millwall or someone has badly upset him.

I have seen enough of Magennis to be of the opinion that he is the sort of bloke you want in the metaphorical trenches alongside you. He has ploughed a lonely furrow up front uncomplainingly all season with only the occasional accompaniment of a bearded mascot or the Sutton reserve goalkeeper's lovechild.
