  • i was ok till i read that! cheers dood!
  • I'll join that club!

I know it's all for a good cause - but the closer the date gets the more nervous I'm feeling.

    xx
  • is that because if it all goes wrong its your fault? ;-)

I'm really looking forward to tomorrow mate, well done to you and everyone else who has played a part
  • Just have a couple of beers to calm the nerves before hand, that should do the trick.
  • Im in the badger school of thought..
  • The other thing to bear in mind is whatever happens collectively weve done 11k for the kids, so whatever happens weve done a really cool thing... as for the match well, once done ,no one can take it away from us....
  • Nah. No nerves. Have faith in your ability. How can you be nervous playing outfield?
  • And I'll second that one Mascot
  • A bottle of brandy in the changing room passed around should settle our nerves if not improve our playing skills!

  • A load of like minded Charlton fans up for a laugh and a massive contribution to a good cause - I'm looking forward to it. I ain't nothing special on the pitch, but I don't worry about looking stupid - I do that enough as it is down the pub at most games!

AFKA, you should stand in the middle of that pitch with a real sense of pride over what you have set up. Massive respect dood.

    I'll back that one too!!
  • lets get it out the way before all that malarky.

A lot of people have contributed to this and if it all comes off ok, EVERYONE should be proud of whatever bit they played (including Dave Storry letting one of my pea rollers through his legs).
  • AFKA you used to have talent mate - just drag it out - first touch of the ball will bring it all back BIT LIKE RIDING A BIKE.- then you'll have Pards saying he wished you were 10 years younger LOL
  • I just was just thinkling - will it be a Carson like performance for 1905 tomorrow or will I be giving the crowd the finger after putting in a Salmon like effort. Only time will tell..........
  • Or you could have a Charlie wright moment and just hang off the crossbar?
  • Not nervous about game, nervous about evening & everything else from my perspective. Anything that goes wrong will be highlighted by someone & I'll get it in the neck from you know who later, so everyone try to behave, don't nick anything (That includes the kit) & don't puke on the lovely carpet or tread sandwiches into the floor if you can help it. :-0

  • Charlie wright moment :
You could do me a bacon and mushroom roll at half time.
  • "(including Dave Storry letting one of my pea rollers through his legs)."

All bribes accepted, it'll all go back in for the kids. !

    Can't wait for tomorrow.

Biggest fear.....Will I be able to touch the cross bar?
    ( can't normally)
  • Whoops - I just hijacked the 'excited' thread with this sentiment!
