The more worrying thing is that if you extrapolate either Slade's or Robinson's results (and ignore the results Nugent achieved) we look really dire.

I think it is the results to come. Slade wasn't going to change anything but I am expecting Robinson to get the team winning more often. Of course he needs to deliver. At the moment his record is comparable and Slade's record wasn't good enough. A few wins and that will change of course.

Just get Tom Rubinshaw in as coach and cut out the middle man.

Not really much of an improvement!

Watching the actual football, there's been a huge improvement

Agreed but in the end, results count

And 100% increase in playfighting with match officials, less baseball caps though so swings and roundabouts....

In order to improve on Slade over what turned out to be his remaining 9 fixtures, Robinson needs to better this:

    L
    L
    W
    D
    D
    W
    W
    D
    L

    Robinson - P13 W3 D6 L4 For 12 Against 14

    Slade - P13 W2 D7 L4 For 12 Against 13

Evidence, if ever any were needed, that even with a different manager and different players, under RD and KM, the outcome will always be the same.

Bar Fraeye Robinson is currently contesting the lowest win ratio of any of our managers! 23.08% v Slade's overall ratio of 23.81% (Fraeye - 14.2%). Even Luzon and Peters did better in a higher league! :(

Putting aside the anti-regime stuff, there is clearly a potential constant influencing what happens on the pitch such as whether it be one or more players, something that happens (or doesn't happen) on the training pitch. Who or what's not changed RS to KR that's meant that scoring goals and winning games isn't happening as frequently as they should do ?

We have a squad of players that look more than capable. They are the ones not delivering on the pitch, not Roland, not Katrien. Time for them to step up. There's no excuse, they are more than good enough.

But it is the flawed system that Roland and Meire have created that is the problem.
They are the constant in 3 years of abject failure. Not the players not the coaches (other than Fraeye). They do not know how to run a successful club and will not listen to people that do, anyone who dissents too loudly is dismissed.

How do they look more than capable? They've only conjured up 3 wins in 13 for Robinson and only 9 wins out of 30 for the entire season. Are you sure it's Charlton you've been watching? After 30 games, it's fair to say, if you're not doing it, you're probably not good enough.

Slade had 20 years of data behind him. His very mediocre performance in his short stint as Charlton manager was perfectly in line with his stats. Stats over a 20 year period are meaningful. To keep him on would have been an act of hope that he would suddenly discover something/some new approach that would result in an improvement in his results. The 20 years of statistical evidence suggest this would have been futile.

Robinson on the other hand is still an unknown quantity. In his short time as a manager he has achieved more success than Slade. I would be happy to see him given a full pre-season and the first half of next season.

Agreed. We have a squad of players that 'should' be more than capable, but they certainly aren't looking it. Rudd, Solly, Bauer, Tex, Konsa, JFC, Crofts, Holmes, Watt, Magennis, plus Lookman for 4 months. That lot at this level should be doing considerably better than they are.

If the players look more than capable to you, then you are in a massive minority here.

Please explain to the rest of us, specifically what the players need to be doing differently ?
Sticking the ball in the back of the net as simple as it may sound Magennis was clean through on goal last night unpressured and didn't even get it on target!

Same applies to Novak smashing it into the side netting against Wimbledon on Saturday not even on target.

Both are more than capable League One players and should be doing better. Once clean through on goal there is nothing more KR or the regime can do at that point.

We so over rate the majority of our players. The results and performances do not lie. The comparison that I like to draw is player for player against the League one title winning side of 2012 and you should see quite quickly how inadequate this squad of players really are.

I would agree with this. It might be worth noting however that division was VERY strong that season, so we might get away with a lesser calibre of player, but in the end, we are sitting mid-table with the players we have and successive managers haven't managed to coax consistent performances out of them.

If you're clean through on goal and can't hit the target and similar with Novak, then I'd respectfully suggest they are not more than capable goalscorers. Neither of them have ever been true goalscorers. Novak got a reasonable amount of goals when he was younger, but his game was based on running and hassling & for whatever reason, he's been the total opposite at Charlton.
