I'm off to Sheffield tomorrow for my Wednesday mate's 60th. Been there on numerous occasions and have had a great time.
In the 80's there was a lot of players moving between our clubs.
The New Barrack Tavern is a fantastic boozer.0 -
and the Blades get a winner at the end after a long stoppage0

Can't see Charlton stewards acting like that!alan dugdale said:Great effort by Coventry fans. No over the top stewarding either

And true to form the sheff utd scum chanting there is only one sisu, another club on my hated list8

Blades join Scunny on 44 points, go second on goal dif,
Bolton 3rd on 43 points, Scunny have a game in hand over Blades, same number played as Bolton..
these 3 are making a bit of a break away at the top .. Coventry stay in the bottom 40 -
Nice video of the whistle protest.

Thought it was interesting that Sky commentators stated there are too many foreign owners that know little or nothing about a football club & don't have a clue how the dedicated fans perceive it....hence the protests.
We got a mention as being one of those clubs.
They also commented that the pitch invasion was done in a respectful manner ie no sit in in the centre circle or lengthy time on the pitch & that no police were required to restore order.
Very disappointing to see Sheff Utd score as soon as play recommenced.
Cue Sue P & co posting that protests DO affect the players !7 -
Nor our fans, our pitch invasion consisted of one fan.ME14addick said:

Wonder if on Coventry Life they had a twat called ccfc4life...5 -
Imagine the crying from our fans if we had a walk on protest and the oppo scored afterwards8
-
dont think we would mock coventry but if it was palace or millwall 100% we would and i would be joining in. as would majority.
regarding the sheffield clubs, wednesday win hands down as amount of "special" fans they have, not to mention that lump of lard tango embarassing man, met sheffield united fans before and they seem like a decent bunch.1 -
a lone coventry fan knocked out a united fan after the singing dont know how to load the tweet to here but see all his pals jumping up and down and not going to his rescue.3

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder told BBC Radio Sheffield:
That's twice that's happened to us, at Charlton, now here. It was all set up that something was going to happen. It's disrupted the game. It's poor. I have a bitter sweet taste in my mouth. We're talking about about stuff that's off the pitch, in the stands, which is a sad day.
Firstly Chris... Be glad your not Charlton Manager because it looks like you wouldnt be able to handle any of the protests that come from the fans whilst secondly be glad that Blackpool arent in League One at the moment.
In addition if you Managers are getting fed up with the actions of fans at these clubs (its not one off case) why dont you take your complaints to the FA and get them to look into why we're protesting so that you can get on playing the game!!
P.S. Just remember, without the fans there is no cushy world for you Footballers / Managers and your lovely wages will instantly drop!!30 -

Good luck Coventry fans! We can't all be wrong, are you listening FA? Great to see CARD's ideas in use eleswhere. Shame on Sheffield Utd fans and let's hope they never need some other team's help.7
-
If the Sheff Utd fans are arrogant enough to think that the experience that we and Coventry have gone through can never happen to them then I welcome the day things start to go tits up for them and they have the soul ripped out of their club.
Coventry are in a mess, they probably have worst owners than us. All of football should be united in helping/supporting them.
To hear that the Sheff Utd fans have sung pro sisu songs is disgraceful imo
Well done to the Coventry fans that got their point across14 -
I hope your referring to Wilder rather than me?palarsehater said:

yes well done in disrupting the flow of the game which was heading for a draw costing your team a valuable point, possibly demoralising an improving young team and giving the Blades an undeserved 2 extra points putting them second in the table .. protest OK, fine .. BUT OFF THE PITCHkiller kish said:Well done Coventry fans

If any CC fans log in you can be assured we are with you all the way. As are most genuine football fans up and down the country. Sheffield Unt scum are very much in the minority.

Fans singing nasty songs at each other shock!!! Bit of an over reaction to this in my view.
I am sure if Palace or Millwall were suffering in the hands of bad owners and we played them at home a song or two relating to it would ring out from the North stand.0 -
