Konsa: 5 I got the impression (perhaps wrongly) that there wasn't too much wrong with him and that KR wanted to get Tex on. The physio didn't seem overly concerned. Good move by KR if that was the case (and no disrespect to Konsa).
Fox: 6 Got the wrong side of his man a few times early on but got better. Great late block.
Bauer: 7 A master of the quick interception.
Pearce: 7 Committed but occasionally clumsy. Won some decent headers.
Lookman: 6 Got better in the 2nd half.
Crofts: 6 Plenty of effort and some decent bits. Good job he was on the line late on.
Ulvestad: 5 The merest flash of talent but largely anonymous. Hope he doesn't end up being a Racon type player for us.
Botaka: 6 He looks very strong but he needs to be more direct. Frustrated in the last seconds v Sheff Utd, when he checked inside, instead of burning into the area and did this again yesterday. His woeful 2nd half cross was made when he had 10 yards of clear space to get into the area. Drive into the area, draw defenders and probably fouls!
Magennis: 7 Had a good 2nd half but was fairly poor 1st half. Finished the game strongly.
Ajose: 5 You've got to be a good side to carry a forward like this (and we're not). However, on another day the ball may have fallen for him to nick a couple of goals...the rebound from Magennis and the shot from Lookman. He does know where to go.
Teixeira: 7 Wonder if he's ever played right back before? He did a good job, winning headers and being first to the ball. When attacking he'll never skin an opponent (which of our FBs does that anyway?) but there's a degree of guile. Serious point; if he's to play RB, he needs to be coached how to take a throw on. Everyone he took looked dicey.

Apols for non mark comment... He had a big bump on the side of his head and looked groggy. I was right by side of the pitch when he came off. I don't think he could have headed the ball without fear.
