"Mjallby AIF Head Of Sports, Hasse Larson has reacted to the controversy that the age of the club’s Nigerian new signing, Silas Nwankwo has generated.
They announced Silas as an 18 year old player who has signed for the club until 2025 after scoring 19 times and assisting eight times, bringing his goal involvement to 27 in 40 matches in the 2020/2021 season.
“That’s rubbish we have full confidence in his management and that his age is right. We have no intention of taking this further”.
However evidence has arisen that he falsified his age, with claims that Silas represented ESUT in a University tournament, including scoring the winning goal in the final way back in 2015. This would make the player around 25-26 years of age."
