http://www.londonnewsonline.co.uk/11283/another-big-injury-blow-charlton-athletic-chris-solly-ruled/"Charlton have been hit with another major injury blow as Chris Solly is expected to be out for a number of months with a knee injury.
The right-back picked it up in the 3-0 defeat at Swindon Town but stayed on for the full 90 minutes.
Solly sat out Saturday’s 2-0 win over Port Vale and the 25-year-old is not expected to return before Christmas.
It is the second significant first-teamer to be ruled out for the Addicks, with Ricky Holmes (broken foot) expected to miss the next two months."

At least he'll be playing in his actual position.
Sorry to hear that Solly's knees aren't getting any better. These problems don't just go away.
I imagine Foley's contract will be extended to the end of the season as he is our main RB cover. It does leave us really thin in midfield (if you count Foley as a midfield option which is debatable)
Also hope he's back by the end of January as dont want the club having to waste resources on getting a backup Right-Back for Foley!!
If anyone is wondering; If Jackson doesnt play it appears as though Crofts will be the Captain as he took the armband when Jacko went off on Saturday
Or is he more central now?
I suspect he's been too keen to fight for the cause and taking a risk on his ability to see out games especially when taking the armband. However should the management have taken more care of him and relied on him less by enforcing longer periods of rest between games?
Whether Chris ever returns to his former PoY levels I very much doubt but I wish him as good a recovery as possible and return to first team action in the new year. Proper Charlton.
Foley did ok at the weekend but we would need to recruit in the window - I'd expect a loanee. The window needs to be about recruiting 2 or 3 centre midfielders - one of whom wants to be a playmaker
The injury update on Holmes on the OS was far more detailed than the SLP news story.
Sorry thats what I meant by the communicating
It might also have come from Katrien trying to get the local press onside but I doubt it.
Lets see if the OS runs the story this afternoon.
No Solly, No Holmes, No manager, Lookman sold in January. Sounds like a promotion winning season Katrien.
This is why i have been amazed at how many games he has played since considering he couldn't train every day.
The sad thing is there isn't a cure for this type of wear and tear injury in 2016.
Hang your heads in shame everyone who said he couldn't be bothered to track back against Swindon.
If it wasn't for this injury Solly would never have played below the championship and might even have got a transfer to the Premier on his form of 3 or 4 years ago.
Don't let your hatred of Duchatelet and Meire poision your mind on a loyal servant of CAFC.
The Club needs the likes of Chris Solly now. I have to say that I am surprised just how many matches he has played this season, given his circumstances, which in turn leads me to wonder about the competence of the Club medical team in managing his injury.
I hope they haven't buggered him up permanently.
