Is this the end of this daft plan? Seems to have been scuppered by the rights that the FA have got for the FA Cup according to the report

Good, would nor trust any thing proposed by the EFL. They have no idea how to run a football competition other than to ruin it.

Surely the majority of FA cup games could be moved to midweek? The broadcasters only want to show the Sky 4 1/2 anyway. Their games could be at the weekend, and if they are up against a FL team, just postpone the FL team's match. Half the FL teams are out by round 3 anyway.
