FA: We're concerned about whats happening with the protests at Charlton... Will any of this make our image look bad? KM: Oh no, dont worry we have it in hand FA: Thanks, bye
she'll just lie to them and tell them what they want to hear. Unless RD fails the fit and proper person test as it currently stands, and he won't, then there is nothing they can actually do. Another embarrassment though.
Least it gives another section some excuses if we lose Saturday
"Thanks to the protesters, KM was called to a meeting with the FA on Wednesday when she could have been interviewing for a candidate who would have overseen a resounding victory over Port Vale, instead they've put us closer to relegation"
I just have a suspicion that they are wobbling for the first time. Meire is on the ropes. Her media charm offensive has failed and I wonder how much more she can lie her way out of trouble. As for Uncle Roland, the excellent weekend trip to his hometown clearly rattled him to the core - hence the spouting of lies to the local press. Now is the time to maintain the pressure on both fronts.

I've always thought that the Fit and Proper Persons test finds out how much money the potential owner has and how many debts they have (almost like a bog standard credit check when requesting a mortgage or loan)
The years when nearly every club went into Administration, and the times when Bournemouth and Luton were given hefty fines along with Portsmouth going bust ruined the FA's image and made everything look less than rosy here in English Football - Because of that the Fit and Proper test came into effect to ensure that this never happened again.

Slightly bemused as to what the purpose of the summons is. The FA cannot actually do anything to the club for their actions as she can claim that she is trying to do the best for the club she loves etc etc. And even if she turned up and admitted she couldn't give a flying one, what could the old men in suits do?
Do they actually have any authority though? Fair enough Summoning her, but if they actually wanted to do something, what could they possibly do?
Exactly... they cant take Charlton Athletic away from these owners because who'd pay the wages for Players / Staff (down to those who man the ticket office) at the club.
I guess the only thing they could do is enforce Administration upon us that doesnt see us get a 10-point deduction which'll hopefully allows a new party to come in and takeover the club

On what grounds could they do that? They couldn't do anything like that, we haven't broken any rules.

Exactly... the only conversation they could have is:

Hideous woman.

And it hasnt
The club can't run as RD chooses without her (albeit terribly)
Meire out.
They wouldnt dare do anything

FA: Sell the club
KM: No
FA: Sell the club
KM: No
You get the idea
Problem is, neither Meire nor Duchatelet fail the fit and proper person test because it's mostly to do with criminality or financial issues.
