Great work guys, and love the idea of 'taxi for Roland'. I bet RD and the CAFC SMT will be aghast at this, Frankly I am delighted, and feel you are all doing an excellent campaign for all CAFC supporters.
Thing is Pitch are paid megabucks by the club and cannot compete with a bunch of fans drawn together by a septuagenarian who has delusions of grandeur.
Just think Katrien, you could have had all this creativity for free, instead you and Roland chose to ignore the fans of this great club because you naïvely felt you knew better.I would bet that you wished you had listened now, especially as its far too late to retrieve.
The message is simple, go and go now.
I have no idea what CARD have planned next but I'm betting they are five steps ahead of you!
+ you also reached the print version of Het Laatste Nieuws, the most important newspaper in Belgium in terms of readership (see attachment) Great work :-)
Like many, I saw the 3 second clip and thought hmmm there must be more to that. So when I saw the youtube clip and the turning of the banner... Oh Lordy, I nearly collapsed with laughter!
Absolutely brilliant, thank you so much to all those brave souls who have carried the message to Belgium and to those at home who helped organise the trips. What an extraordinarily brilliant set of fans, chapeau!!

Arrived back in our new hotel, resting up before another busy day tomorrow.
Made very unwelcome by the Stayen stadium management who at first said we weren't welcome and that they wouldn't take the presents. They then reluctantly agreed to let us photograph the pressies by a sculpture near the entrance.
Then then suddenly got very annoyed, snatched the presents and took them inside before we could take proper photos
Even though they were told by the Police when we were coming they weren't very prepared and clearly rattled. Obviously they had orders from above to try and limit what we did but hadn't really thought it through very well. Seems a common trait with Duchâtelet employees.
But the birthday boy has his presents waiting for him apart from the one the snatch squad left behind.
The local journalist was rather pro RD or at least trying to give another side of the story. His paper Het de Limburg have been tweeting a lot about the trip if someone wants to search for it.
BTW police were fine and seemed more worried we'd be in town o Friday when Brugge are playing STVV.
They even gave one car an escort and then left after taking passport details from one of us and all the car regs. Orders from their boss they said. I assume that is the chief inspector and not Roland but who knows?
One other thing. One the Duchatelet snatch squad started off by pretending he was a local journalist. He even had a film camera and showed the taxi where to park but then suddenly he was snatching presents - very odd as we wanted to leave the presents anyway. He and his colleagues didn't have names either. Or at least not yet.

Perhaps he has links to RD or works for him in some way as i fail to see how anyone could be pro RD otherwise.
Don't think this is CARD's but rather, the journo's. We see the back -up car for the first time...
'Today is the seventieth anniversary of the Armenian Jersey entrepreneur Roland Duchâtelet.'
Have I missed something?
Truiense means "of St Truiden" (they have their own local dialect with no "d" in it). Also, truien = sweaters, jumpers, etc, in Dutch. The Armenian bit seems to be pure Google Translate fantasy.

I know for a fact that RD writes a weekly political comment column for Het Belang van Limburg, so they would be likely to be friendly to him. I tried to research whether he perhaps owned it, but I don't think so.

Well done to everyone in Belgium. The creativity is brilliant!
Along with the 2Percent/Belgium20 group who leafleted the town and gave Roly indigestion you are imo, by taking the argument to his home town, making him look foolish in front of his friends, neighbors and peers. Just wish the taxi could stay in ST Truiden for 2 month's.

Hope the old mule can dust his brain off and use it to do the right thing.
Just hope he gets the hump and sacks Ms Nightmeire. That would be a major step forward.
If she had any decency she would resign to save the poor old fella the stress.

Well done all, certainly made my day at work go quicker following it.

Oh guys. What have you done now? :-)
Sighs wearily as he trudges onto the plane.
