How many mins does a sub have to play to get a mark? And how many times has a sub actually managed this under Slade?
to be eligible for a mark a player has to be playing for at least 30 mins, under Slade the following have been on as subs for at least 30 mins: Foley: Oldham 34mins Bauer: Bolton 76 (Jackson injured) Lookman: Northampton 34, Walsall 38, Bolton 34, Oldham 34 Ajose: Rochdale 31 Holmes: Oxford 33 Novak: Fleetwood 40
thanks LL. always interesting. was curious to look at the marks for novak - not actually played enough mins to get a mark very often, but pretty poor marks when he has. thought he looked pretty useless again on saturday. agonising slow, and from where i was sitting a good stone overweight... while ajose's marks were also very poor at the start of the season, i still think it's baffling that he's not been given a proper second chance, especially given his season last year. much more of an obvious fit with magennis up front, imo...
Apologies, for banging on about this. But I'm not very good with patience.
Fox, Crofts, Novak !
Every game it's pretty much the same players that come bottom.
These 3 plus whoever else gets a run out from Foley, Jackson & Ajose.
Considering Slade is a stats freak, I'm hoping at some point he may consider dropping the players that are bottom rated virtually every week.
Trouble is we don't have anyone better than fix and Crofts. And whilst Ajose may be better than Novak it's not like he's been tearing up trees....
I agree, but Chicksen must be dreadful, if he's not worth a game to see how he does. I've seen him twice this season & he looked ok to me. Ok he might be poor, but give him a league game.
As for Crofts, I agree there's not an obvious alternative, but as he's not really had a decent game. What about trying Aribo ? At least Aribo can run.
Finally, Ajose has been as poor as Novak, but I'd either give Ajose another go or perhaps Hanlan, who once again has got pace & power.

If there was any truth in the Rumour that we turned down 1.5 million for Fox; why didn't we let him go and keep Holmes-Dennis?
Don't tell me that the offer came in after THD went because the football grapevine doesn't work in that order. The reason THD wanted to leave was he didn't have a first team shirt. He would have ripped it up as a attacking full back at this level like Rhoys Wiggins did in League 1 (when he didn't have a sick note !)

Definitely didnt see Chris Solly as our Fourth worst player so take that as though he had less to do than Fox

Bauer: Bolton 76 (Jackson injured)

Confused; you will be.
Novak and Ajose can make a nuisance of themselves but only if they want to, and often dont win the ball
Hanlan on the other hand against Coventry was winning the ball and almost scored a carbon copy of the Magennis goal
The old ones are always the best
