It's so exciting I can hardly stay awake.

I'll be there in a big old stand with about 200 others if were lucky!! It's freezing cold, wet and windy up here by the way!!
Fair play to you and the other loyal travelling fans. Hope the team reward you with a decent effort at the very least
Don't praise him, he only lives round the corner.
I second that. And he wrote it like he's one of the hardy few.

I'll have you know I don't live around the corner!! I may work in Stoke but I live in Cheshire ;-)

But yes - I'll be leaving work at 6.45pm and will be parking up at Vale Park around 6.50pm

You just might be one of the 200 that in years to come can say I was there that cold and wet night when we won 6.0 at port vale.

    Or maybe not
Well I was there at Barnsley for the 6-0 so you never know, however I can confirm that I did not see the 7-6 at home v Huddersfield  .

At least 50,000 reckon they were though

  • Was at the Barnsley 6-0 too. Much better weather that day. It's been shocking weather on way here over last hour so expect the pitch to be a bit slippery. Also very windy here so likely to be an open scrappy game if conditions are anything to go by. Hoping for a good performance.
  • 2-1 Charlton

I know where you're coming from, probably more than that feasibly as the capacity was still very high as only two stands, Grandstand (west) and Covered End with the vast East and South terraces all standing. Actual attendance 12535!
  • 6-1 to Charlton. All the goals in the second half. Tex hat-trick. Lookman straight from a corner. Solly solo run from six yard box. Rudd clearance, catches the wind, goes in without bouncing.

Their goal - Fox own goal from half-way.

If this isn't what actually happens, I don't want to know. I am sure my version will be much more entertaining.

CHARLTON SUBS | Phillips, Chicksen, Johnson, Konsa, Hanlan, Ajose, Novak. #cafc

7 subs and not one midfielder. Shows how threadbare the squad is
  • Looks like 4.5.1. No surprise there.
Holmes and lookman must try to get as close to Big mag as they can. With the weather being what it is it suits the forwards more than defenders.
Mind you if this was at the valley we would still water the fucking pitch

Yep don't get that, why have Johnson and konsa on the bench?

Why not stick one of the u21 squad on instead just in case?
  • One match will not improve our season. Their home form is good 3-0 to Port Vale and back to our piggies we go.
  • Quiet so far for warmup. Stopped raining at last!

Red - you ok? No match thread (that I can see).

Cancel that - just seen it!
