I think Brian Kinsey was one of Jimmy Seed's last signings and he still regularly visits The Valley I believe. I don't know Brian myself but there might be some on here who know him. Wasn't he an Old Roan? There's a few of them on here.

It'd be great to hear from someone who knows him.
Derek Ufton played under Seed and would know others who did and still with us.
Yes, and my mum knew him. I'll ask Katrien for his number...
Eddie Firmani said some nice things in his autobiography.
  • Not many surviving players from Seeds time.
Brian Kinsey, Derek Ufton, Gordon Jago, Albert Uytenbogaardt, Eddie Firmani, Don Townsend and Bobby Lumley are the only players I can think of.

We need a reunion event to come along, at the museum maybe. They're all of advancing years of course.
  • Wrote to Martin Seed, and an Anthony Seed, last week. No replies as yet.
AS lives in the north east, and he's Jimmy Seed's great nephew.
  • edited October 2016
I texted Martin's ex last week, but she didn't reply & I didn't chase her, as it is her ex.

I can do as we are friends, but not close friends.
