Pearce is a real leader and great character for the squad. Slade had to fight hard to get him. Can't believe he is the sort to swear at a young kid.
Yeah dont think Pearce would have said something had there not been abuse towards the team from the kid, he doesnt seem that sort of person whilst Johnson is just a prick
Good point. You're right, it's OK to tell kids to fuck off. Mark Kinsella would approve.
Dont like getting abuse... Dont give it out in the first place
Its not like Pearce has responded in the same way that Roger Johnson did!!
If it's true, isn't that exactly how he responded?
Well no... Johnson told the fan to f**k off and not come if he doesnt like it...
Pearce simply told him to f**k off as it was past his bedtime... Wasnt telling him not to come to games
He is indirectly saying don't come though if he should be in bed.

I share everyone else's misgivings abut the apparent tactical ineptitude of our new manager but I think we should be very cautious about placing too much blame at Slade's door.
Already we see evidence of him being the scapegoat for the regime's dishonesty, incompetence and self-delusion.
"He picks the team not us..he selected the new signings not us.. the fans wanted an English manager, what can we say?"
Slade is not Ferguson but he is not a complete idiot either and my suspicion is that he has been lied to, misled and stitched up big time. My guess is he had to fight tooth and nail just to get average squad players over the transfer line and knows only too well about the midfield weaknesses.
If we were a club on the up or even in steady mediocrity, we could start throwing things at Slade for screwing it all up but we have been on a rapid, embarrassing, unnecessary and totally predictable decline since the day these clowns took over.
The club is toxic and mismanaged from the top down and we can't realistically expect Slade or the players to be isolated from their toxicity anymore than we all are OR expect Slade to re-float a sinking ship armed with sellotape and blu-tac.
There is only one long term solution to our predicament and it has nothing to do with the manager.

I'm sure a lot of what you have written is probably accurate. No doubt Slade now realises he's bitten off more than he can chew. The major problem is the Belgians and their minions.
What is not up for debate is the obvious lack of ability in setting up a team, having more than plan A, and what I suppose I mean is being in charge of a group of very decent players and getting two wins in fourteen and by the first week in October having lost the confidence of every fan.
I know Charlton do not have a divine right to beat anyone but as a Charlton fan I do expect more than what is currently going on, on the pitch.
Re: Pearce... chill out! That's banter, especially if he was being an annoying shite behind the dugout.
If that offends you, you need to take a long hard look at yourself.
Certainly doesn't offend me. I just couldn't imagine it happening during any other era at Charlton even during a poor run of results. I can't imagine Lennie, Curbs, Powell, Nelson et al just standing by not saying anything to the player either. Similarly, if a player is that easily offended by barracking from the crowd, he should take a long look at himself.

Depends on the age of the kid. If any grown man told my kid to fuck off it's past your bed time, I don't think I'd react lightly.
Unprofessionalism running through CAFC and seeping out of every hole. It's obvious they're all not happy with the situation they're in, every one involved in the Club.

Except we've established the kid wasn't dishing out abuse.
I may be wrong, so apologies if I am, I seem to recall that last weekend a player was given a straight RED because he made an offensive sign to a fan on the terraces, the ref saw it and off he went. I don't know what happened last night, but if a kid was sworn at by Pearce then perhaps he should apologise? Afterall the player I refer to above is banned for 3 games I guess?
Its all very sad when fellow supporters are referred to as "Infiltrators" and Sue continues to post controversial comments which people do read. It's not about the fans being happy with the players signed in the summer, we just make comments. Its the manager and scouts who have the experience and inside knowledge on players. She should know fans can often be wrong and its only an opinion. Also fans always vent their anger on the manager and players when things are bad. Clearly we aren't playing well and as always results matter and Slade knows that, so he's got to go. Surely Sue can realise that.
I do not see why we continue to debate this women's comments, she is married to a club employee which makes her the same as the rest of us........................a fan/supporter/customer.
Her views carry no more weight than mine or any of yours when posting. If you are linked to this women via social media you deserve all you get as you are feeding the troll. Break the link, ignore what she says and she will go away.
I agree its not about one person and part of my point is about opinions. Sadly that is always going to happen, even though we all want Charlton to succeed.

He's also telling a child to fuck off!
(Allegedly)
Have you ever met a child? Horrible sticky, shrieking little things, can't hold their drink, no good in a fight. They can quite frankly.

Pearce would only be banned from the Checkatrade trophy, as it has its own disciplinary rules.

I am far more inclined to this. We can talk about a lot of problems not being Slade's fault, but he has been given far more freedom in player recruitment and building a squad than any other manager we've had and he's now in Fraeye territory. For all of the Belgians' fault, they weren't the ones who failed to bring Bauer on against Wimbledon when Tom Elliot came on at 1-0 up and we were clearly under pressure against the big man and struggled to handle him. They didn't start with four central midfielders in a 4-1-4-1 away to promoted Oxford. They don't send the team out every match with no clear game plan in possession or when attacking (and it's worth noting pretty much every first half this year with the exception of Shrewsbury and maybe Wallsall has been absolutely dire).
I'm sure things are hard behind the scenes for Slade, and he is not the genesis of the problem. But he's still not getting the basics of being a coach right, and it's arguably getting worse. As such, I think he deserves most of the stick he gets.
Was the lack of closing down for the first goal the way we played throughout? Lack of effort or Peeters style tactics of trying to sit back and keep the shape?
I can't imagine any of the clubs we've played this season playing like that against us.
Some of that is just pure comedy. Fox's contributions to their goals, Rudd's attempted punch, Ahearne-Grant's free kick, Novak's pen. I actually really enjoyed those highlights far more than I thought I would

And they said he wasn't clever cuz he couldn't do basic maths!

I guess it is well documented and aired constantly that Sue Perks as she is now known is most certainly not the same as the rest of us in as much as she takes advantage of her 'undeserved' privileged position to attend games home and away (seemingly for free) and hints strongly on SE7Valiants that she is in the know on certain matters that the rest of us aren't - which of course by definition is true - and is exasperated that we fail continually to grasp the message that our betters (Duchatelet and the SMT) do indeed know better.
At the Bolton game she was sat next to Meire (how many of the rest of us would get the chance to do that?) and seemed to be the only one engaged with Meire whilst Chris Parkes to the other side of Meire was head down often consulting his i-phone messages by the look of it.
I for one do find it instructive to listen and view Sue Perks comments as they give some insight I believe into the deeper mind-set of Meire and the SMT and if that in any way is reflective of how they think and behave (and all the evidence so far suggests it is) then it is truly, truly frightening that both Meire and Cahones can be allowed to operate unchecked at such senior levels with zero people skills and with very little business acumen whilst harbouring one strongly suspects a deep contempt for any with an emotional attachment to the club beyond that which does not conform to the 'customer-based' ideal.

If the officials didn't hear or see it, the FA can't act. Only the club can.

Bit unfair on Rudd. He was sitting on the bench. I think you'll find Phillips was in goal.
Does make me laugh how Pearce can swear at a kid and it's 50/50 if it's in the wrong but when Johnson does it he outed straight away. Shows players can do what they want and fans will only care depending on their ability. Fuck em both fuck em all. Club is rotten to the core.
