Would love to see Rudd join us on a permanent basis and understand what they mean about the difference between our promotion season under Powell and this season, i.e. Powell did start planning three months before the season had ended... Never thought of that.
Because of the type of player we've got would much prefer us play 4-4-2 though i.e. Botaka and Holmes can play on the wings that way, as I feel our Midfield is being over-ran too easily with two of those being Jackson and Crofts.
Said that myself (In regards to the Wimbledon 'keeper) that he had a one off blinder after that game!!
about 40 people there which is low but maybe reflects the times were in and the messing about with venues.
I liked the new place, would like to know what others thought. Likely to be knocked down anyway as Bromley gets more offices/flats.
@coveredend tried to get them to say that the midfield was the problem but they weren't going there.
As Kap said they talked a lot about us being seen as a scalp by other clubs and that coming to the Valley and seeing the set up gives players of smaller clubs a gee up and a desire to beat us even more. We're not ruthless enough and don't kill teams off.
Rudd said he knows there were at least two other midfielders that Slade wanted to bring in but couldn't due to new loan rules. Thompson would know Rudd from Norwich but he didn't give names.
When told that lots of fans on the norwich message boards said he should be first choice Rudd said "that was me!". Neither use social media and neither thought about the protests either way. Heads down and get on with their own games was the stance although maybe that was a standard answer.
International breaks the players work harder, not ease off as questioner suggested. Lots of gym work and fitness as only time you can with so many sat/tues/sat games.
Novak said he couldn't feel his hand when injured as all went numb. Said we had a small squad at time and felt had to make effort to play if he could. Cast came off after 6 days not the 6 weeks suggested but all OK now.
Good to have half the comms team and all of the support liaison team there.
"Said we had a small squad at time" Just to add to that, felt that the squad now was right and that although we did not get the final pieces of the jigsaw, squad size was good now and team spirit was good, best that they had experienced - I think they said.
As an aside, Rudd has the longest neck I've ever seen not on a giraffe!!

Have to wonder if that's just a standard response as given the current form, team spirit can't be that great. For example Novak played for Huddersfield when they won the play offs, and i think Rudd was at Preston when they made the play offs a couple of years back. How can our team spirit be better when we're getting beaten at home by Rochdale and Crawley? But the players are simply not going to come out and say "yeah we're playing badly and team spirit and morale is low"

Agreed, just reporting what I believe they said, there are probably a few bits that are stock answers.
Slade is not always a nice guy, even if thats his public face but has the support of the players.
Phillips wants to play, Rudd is helping him out since he has been in the same position of bench warming for mist of his career

making sure they remember their lines ;-)
Just in case some people miss your smiley and start a conspiracy theory that particular half of the comms team has been coming to Bromley Addicks meetings for at least 10 years or more.
The support liaison guy was on a fact finding trip to see how the best supporters' group operates and was very welcome.

what if they were evil clones and the real comms team are fritzled up in a basement somewhere?

Didn't Lee Novak turn up in the end ?
