Pep Clotet is actually a very good coach. Highly regarded when he was at Leeds United.

Wanted to be a manager himself so went to Oxford United, didn’t quite work out too well but they didn’t give him too much time and just because it didn’t work great in one club doesn’t mean he can’t do it at another.

Birmingham City however, showing they are also a club in big trouble. Gary Monk will be disappointed no doubt, but he knows he will walk into another job soon enough.

I thought Clotet was doing quite well at Oxford, was surprised that they got rid of him

Their results after they sacked him were certainly poorer than when he was in charge

Sounds like cost cutting to me. Lets hope it puts Brum in the relegation mix.
Also about to sell top scorer Che Adams, which won't help much.

    I know why that was  : - )
Heard that they suffered from a sudden and brutal outbreak of verbal diarrhea shortly after Clotet left.

The fans trust have been pleading with the main creditor to file for administration.

Bleak times for Bury, despite promotion.

Bloody hell and I thought we had problems! Could be another target club for The Helmet to invest in after he's sold us ....what could possibly go wrong?

Not a dissimilar situation to Bowyer's really. Wants to stay, adored by fans, but an incompetent owner not backing the manager is making his job much more difficult than it should be. Thankfully in our case Bowyer did decide to stay but it could easily have gone the same way as Newcastle.

Fair play to him for standing firm.
Back at the start of the year it was reported he said he wanted in writing that he had funds for transfers available before signing a new deal.
Mike Ashley said he could have it in writing once he had signed his new contract  :D

I can't see this working, even Curb 'n Gritty were split up. Besides Ant has Priory commitments.

according to today's paper he could move to China on £12 Million a year .. his departure, when it happens, is a major blow to Newcastle

To be fair to Ashley he has always said whatever money the club makes they can spend but that he cannot bankroll any more funds.

Is it so bad to expect them to live within their means.
it must be a not inconsiderable amount that they generate Each year.
