Will be interesting to see if it's another young " head coach" at Burnley such as internally promoting Craig Bellamy or if they go for experience and try to bounce straight back.
He did a good job at Lincoln, especially recruiting several players straight from Irish football, he is a good judge of a 'lower league player', he also worked for Bowyer at Brum amongst other roles. Lincoln sacked him over a non specified incident despite his good record. He should do a good job at Swindon, another club which always seems to under perform
"We have complete faith in Craig and Mike and believe their extensive experience and deep understanding of the Club make them the perfect candidates to lead the team at this important time."
At this important time...........when the squad is all on holiday. And we have so much faith in them that we're actively looking for a new manager.

Yes, a weirdly worded statement, as if a manager had left them during the season or even in the middle of pre-season training. Plus neither of them will be responsible for transfer decisions either.
Not surprised he is staying, as would have been strange not to give it a go with Ipswich in Premier League after the two seasons they have just enjoyed.
Four year contract seems pointless these days though, they will either sack him if Ipswich explode or he will be poached if they have another brilliant season.
Great to see. I hope they continue to do well. How boring is it to see the same three or four yo yo between the Prem and Championship every season? Southampton and Leicester back again this time…so dull.
Cheeky fucker couldn't get the gig at Chelsea, BM or Brighton so thought he'd better take what was on offer before they looked elsewhere.
This is such a bizarre, nonsensical take
So you think if Chelsea had offered him a 4 year contract he would have stayed at Ipswich ? More chance on Chuks playing 90 mins on August 7th than that.

'he thought he'd better take what was on offer before they looked elsewhere' - yes, Ipswich really were poised to fire Kieran McKenna. Yes
Also, how do we know he ultimately wanted those jobs, even those he had initial talks with?
Well he spoke with Chelsea and you'd assume he aspires to manage at the highest level he can and win trophies, manage in Europe etc, which he obviously has a much greater chance of doing with Chelsea than with Ipswich.
Sky reported that he was in the running until he was notified that Chelsea were going with Maresca, so it's not as if he met with them and then said no thanks.
In any case i do think it's the best decision for him. Continue what he started with Ipswich and potentially then look to get the Man U job if/when Ten Hag goes.

Think all of this has to be taken with a pinch of salt. If Chelsea had gone for Maresca without talking to Mckenna their fans would have been annoyed. Chelsea get to say they passed on him, he gets a payrise and to avoid a poisoned chalice. A decent year at Ipswich in the Prem will do more good for his career than a spell at Chelsea right now. Brighton could have been a good fit potentially but I can see why he'd want to stay put.

Smart move, continues his work with Ipswich and gets to test himself in the Prem with lower expectations, does well and his stock will rise greatly .

Barrow have appointed Stephen Clemence as head coach on a two-year contract. Not sure that's an obvious step up on the sacked Pete Wild.
Hull City have appointed former Hamburg boss Tim Walter as their new head coach on a three-year deal. He'll do well to do as good a job as Rosenior.
