How many times have we said that over the last ten years?

He is on record as saying he could not work with murrey again.
As murrey is no longer in charge who knows

Murray is not their either. :)
Does anyone really think Curbs would work for the dopey Belgian club destroyers.

Bring him back to work under RD and KM? No thanks. To replace them, though...

    Even The Telegraph overlooked Curbs.

Whilst I don't see why he would want to work for the Belgians, he was interviewed by them wasn't he?

What did he think of Murray?

Are we not in a catch 22 position ?

Do we want anyone to do well while RD and KM are in charge ?

He knew the team we had when he left us were shit, what hope would he have with this bunch we've got now. He's not stupid. He wouldn't go anywhere near us.

Talk of him taking over at Melbourne City.

    From BBC website

Former Charlton and West Ham boss Alan Curbishley has been linked with a shock return to management with Australian side Melbourne City. (Adelaide Now)

Why not? A nice little jaunt to Aus for a while. I'm sure he'll do a good job out there.

Interesting article on the role here...

“In that case, the other [options] are: Alan Curbishley, Avram Grant, who is with Ghana at the moment, Steve Bruce, who is with Aston Villa, Kenny Dalglish, Dennis Wise, Gordon Strachan or David Jones who coached Cardiff against Portsmouth back in 2008.

“Out of all of them, no one really jumps out at you to say ‘ok that sounds right’. Maybe Avram Grant but he’s with Ghana and he’s got the African Cup of Nations right now.”

For me Curbishley (and possibly Strachan) is the only one that jumps out at you... Grant is nothing more than a mercenary who jumps from job to job; Bruce would never leave the English Leagues whilst Dalglish and Wise are laughable!!

And of course Melbourne City are owned by Manchester City, a backdoor into a bigger role praps?

To be fair, Curbs a guy who hasn't manged in EIGHT years, and who has only worked in London since retiring as a player, doesn't sound the sort to go down under either!

Curbs is persona non grata since suing West Ham.

Couldn't get much further away from Essex though.

Does his sister still live in New Zealand? Nice job for him.

I might have to move down to Victoria!
